Without an appointment he lifted my car to take a look at what was wrong and proceeded to show me, in detail (and plain english) what was wrong with my brakes, exhaust etc. I knew I needed brake and exhaust work, and all other mechanics I visited gave me a rough estimate without explaining how, why or what specific work was required. Dave was happy to have me watch as he inspected my car, and then gave me a very fair estimate. When I picked up my car the next day, the final bill was actually less than he estimated, plus he changed the air filter (something he noticed that needed to be done while he was working on the car) Definitely a positive experience with a trustworthy mechanic in Toronto. Not the closest most convenient location to me (I live downtown), but just north of Finch Subway station (either walk or bus). I'll definitely be seeing Dave again next time my car has any trouble, and will be recommending him to family and friends.

Upon putting on the exhaust tips, the owner asked how I liked the angle to be adjusted. Perfect example of customer service right there! Great way to allow customers to choose what they like best and what suits them. These guys have been doing it for years, and understood exactly why it happened, and described he error code, symptoms and conditions to me. Chris who runs the shop, is one of the smartest guys I've ever met when it comes to transmissions. He's a young guy who's been doing this since he was a kid with having a shop in the family. I know a lot about maintenance and cars and believe me, Chris knows his stuff. His prices are more than fair. And probably the best you'll find for a full CVT rebuild. I had to bring my original job back to him because the valve body needed replacing. He said no problem, hoisted it again, drained all the fluid, and swapped it out. This is a good shop and anyone who has CVT issues I recommend coming here before they inevitably blow up. At least the older Nissan CVTs which had a design flaw which mine had. Without getting into detail, it's one of the pullies that uses tiny circle bearings. The bearing design causes them to fail after a few years and thousands of kilometers. When Chris rebuilt it, they used the knew upgraded design which uses proper metal sleeves to reinforce the ball bearings. I've been back once already just to check everything out, and he did it for me no problem and no charge.

They would not provide me with a breakdown of the parts they needed to replace but verbally told me it was just the gears. Kyle told me he didn't have the time to write down all the parts. After I decided to go with someone else. They put all my transmission parts outside on their drive way for me to pick up. Attached are pictures of my parts left outside.This is not how you do business! I have since filed a complaint with the consumer protection act.
