I took my son to Tandem Barbers today, he was given a haircut by an obnoxious, incredibly rude man…read more(not the man with high lights in his curls). He complained and moaned throughout my son's haircut and telling him off for being fidgety, PLEASE the boy is 9 years old!! To add injury to insult, he then decided to moan in his own language, making my son feel very upset, once we left my son cried so much.....He has no customer care skills and has no idea how to deal with children, maybe be shouldn't work near them or work at all with an attitude like that! Tanden Barber's debit card wasn't working and all of a sudden it was my fault, I was told rudely to go to the ESSO petrol station and withdraw cash from there, even though I called before coming asking if they took card payment and I was told yes. The ATM wasn't working at the station so I had to head towards Tandem Centre and get cash from the NatWest ATM. In the meantime, I left my children at the barbers as it was raining outside, my daughter is fuming now by his rudeness and by his continuous moaning in his own language to the other barber, shaking and throwing around the cloth they wrap around a customer, the other barber wasn't responding, which was probably annoying him even more. He was very sweet, he kept apologising to my children and me. Whilst, I wasn't there, my daughter spoke up and shouted at him and he kept arguing back to her. Apparently, when I walked in with his cash he stopped arguing with her! You say your a family run business but this man will run you down with his nasty attitude. We for sure will no longer return to your shop and I will be putting this forward family and friends and put up on FB, as while this person continues to work here you'll have complaintd, which sadly, I've always read.

The barber was very heavy handed and managed to cut my hair too short despite me specifically asking the barber not to. Also not much conversation and generally a pretty cold personality. Definitely won't be going back!

Immediately ushered to a comfortable waiting area with ample newspapers to read, I lost myself in the sounds of snipping and the Chris Moyles show playing on the radio. All the hairdressers here are friendly chaps, keen to chat and worthwhile initiating an arbitrary conversation with. My hairdresser and I had just concluded our conversation on the road rage habits of a rather dangerous elderly woman he knew and my cut was done.
