Tiny place, big flavor! I was seated quickly on a cold January night. Hot tea came promptly and I placed my order through QR code visible on the table. I love that utensils are wood and that chopsticks are not disposable and quality wood. I ordered the vegan Ramen and added a soft boiled egg and it came out hot, fragrant, and delicious! Noodles have a perfect amount of chew, with Woodear mushrooms and corn. And of course I love the scallion and bamboo. Nothing is mushy and everything is fantastic! Sometimes vegan broths are lackluster, but this was also warming, slightly salty, and tasty. The chef came out of the kitchen to check with me. I'm so glad there is a yummy restaurant back in this space. Livingston already has some German Village mainstays, so it's great to have another solid restaurant in this area. We tried the tonkotsu and miso ramen. Both were very tasty, with the flavorful broth as the highlight. read more

Tucked away in German Village is this small cozy ramen shop. There's qr code on the table for self ordering. The garlic tonkotsu doesn't have a strong garlic flavor and the broth is more salty but the chashu has a nice char. The portion size were decent even though the bowl looks small. read more

What a cute and warm shop! There's limited seating inside, some free street parking outside, and some paid street parking around the area. It's a very cute shop and it's a nice place to be around GV. Note, that you order with a QR code on the table. I'm not sure how checks are split, you may need to ask or pay together for the table. I got the Tonkotsu ramen and it was delicious! The toppings were great, the egg was made well, and the chasuh was made well and flavorful. While I was there, staff gave me a new chasu they've been working on and both were good but this chasu was tender and flavorful. The noodles were springy and the texture was good, the toppings balanced the ramen, and the chili oil on the side added a good amount of spice. Overall, the food was delicious and made well. I would have added appetizers but they don't have many options to choose from, but they all looked good! Overall, a great place for a meal. Their ramen was good! Staff was so kind and nice. Pregnancy craving of the day was ramen, so we looked up something close to home. The location is small and minimally decorated. The ramen was good, the broth rich and the noodles the perfect texture. I will say I wish they had more topping options. The menu is limited but I'd imagine that's to keep the quality controlled. Good to have another food option in German Village. This one is tucked away just off Livingston, right where 4th comes in. Parking is always a bit tight in German Village so you might need to drive around. I found a spot about a block away on a weekday afternoon. They have a nice big patio, shaded, and a decent sized dining room inside. Simple and elegant decor. They just opened, and one guy seemed to be running the front of the house, but things really weren't slow. I was seated in a few minutes, even though he was busy answering the phone and doing other chores, and then the food was up super quick. I got the tantanmen Ramen. A little spicy, good broth, perfect noodles, mushrooms and pork and a perfectly cooked egg. All of the flavors and textures worked well together. The serving size is not huge, but it was good enough for lunch. The prices are decent. I was in and out in less than half an hour, with a belly full of good food. Definitely will be back. read more

Amazing ramen shop tucked away in a little nook on 4th street. Came in on a Monday for a lunch date for the tsukemen. It appears Chef Lu is still perfecting the dish so it was unavailable. Welp, that didn't matter much as we had the Garlic Tonkotsu and Tantanmen. Both were terrific and I preferred the Garlic Tonkotsu with its nice heat. The soup spoons are a unique and fun experience too. Love that this place has a limited menu and wants to perfect everything it does rather than being all things to all people. You will leave very full and very satisfied. Oh and Chef Lu rocks. Kind and interested human. Although the restaurant was busy, he made time to come to our table several times to chat. If I am not wrong, mizu no kaori translates to the fragrance of water and their ramen at mizu no kaori embodies that with their fragrant garlic oil ramen while staying true to the taste of water. They do excel though in their portion sizes where the noodle portion is pretty impressive and their eggs are cooked to the right degree of fineness. As of October 12, 2025, this restaurant was in soft opening mode, but the food exceeded expectations. I started with edamame, perfectly salted and very flavorful, followed by the spicy ramen, which I really enjoyed. I usually prefer extra spice, but this dish had a nice kick without being overwhelming, making it a solid choice for most people. The ambience was great. They had their windows open, creating a relaxed vibe to enjoy the cool weather. Ordering was simple through their QR code, though you should keep your confirmation since there's no direct way to track your order without checking in with your server. The menu is limited but offers solid, well curated choices. I'm looking forward to the restaurant getting its liquor license so I can return for a full ramen dinner experience with sake. Our Server was friendly and attentive. I'd rate the food a 10 out of 10 and the overall experience a 9 out of 10, mainly because they're still finalizing the liquor license and hopefully expanding the menu. Such a cute little shop in German Village, the place has like the perfect vibe and coziness of like mom and pop shops. I loveee the atmosphere and the food is amazing too!! We got the Aburasoba and Tonkotsu Ramen. Aburasoba was like amazeballs when you eat it with a little soy sauce and chili oil and the Tonkotsu was perfect just as is! The Chashu is humongo and I love my meats a little fatty so it fit my tastes perfectly. Not to mention, the server was always to my side, makin sure the food was perfectly to my liking all throughout the dinner service. The staff and our server was kind. We were able to order right away using the QR code menu on the table. I ordered the vegan ramen which was delicious! Soup had great flavor, noodles cooked perfectly and great texture, and ingredients seemed fresh. I'm not vegan but for vegetarians had to order an egg with it for some protein. Would love to see some other vegetarian offerings like tofu to go with the soup. But overall delicious and big portions too! Also got the seaweed salad and edamame which also tasted fresh. We arrived at 9:30pm right before they closed so we were able to find some street parking right in front and they were kind to still seat us. Food came out fast and we didn't feel rushed at all. I am SO excited German Village now offers a ramen place. If I couldn't love living here anymore. This place is still in its soft opening, and little did I know it's right around the corner from me. I ordered take out and got the Vegan ramen and then the Pork. Both were delicious and amazing! I got to chat with the GM and he was very personable and friendly. As well got to speak with the owner, and god love this place. They were so busy and they haven't even officially had a "Grand Opening" yet. Among all the people walking in and wanting a table, while serving people, and checking out tabs, they kept it all together and didn't have any sour attitudes at all.
