Where to begin. Not only has this company completely failed to pick up our trash six times in the past two years, but all attempts to contact them for explanation go unanswered and ignored. However, they have no trouble contacting US telling us to rearrange our cars so they can pull in easier (and once we do, they don't even pull in to the driveway), or to demand payment for the days they didn't even bother coming to pick up our trash. Mind you, we pay in advance for their pick up service, for the upcoming eight weeks. So when they don't come, they've already been payed. But when we delayed payment to make up for the times they didn't come, they skipped service again. It's asounding that they expect to be payed for services they are not providing. If you drive around town right now, you will see dozens of MJC barrels sitting on curbs, overflowing with garbage. It's been this way for over two weeks. I can't even begin to imagine why a company that's apparently been running for twenty-eight years would wordlessly abandon so many patrons who rely on them for this service. Not only is it a disgusting health-hazard to have so much trash out on the streets, but it also attracts all sorts of wildlife. Not to mention the smell, or how much of an eyesore it is. One other, albeit small, thing: I always thought it was odd that MJC barrels were knocked over once emptied. All the other waste removal companies seemed to leave their barrels upright upon emptying them. I figured that since MJC's truck doesn't have a hoisting mechanism, it would probably be challenging for the worker to haul the barrel and then gently place it back down, explaining why I'd always find it down on it's side after "trash day." However, one day I was home when the worker came to pick up the trash. He took one bag out of the barrel at a time, putting them into the truck. After he took out the last bag, he shoved the empty barrel over, as if he was angry. A completely unnecessary and disrespectful act, in my opinion. Oh yes, and there are often scraps of trash left behind, that don't belong to us. I doubt this company is still running after all this outrageous unprofessionalism.
