So in every other barber I have been to the shortest my hair would be anywhere was a #1. But this guy decided blending my hair into my beard involved going down to the skin between the two. And he way over shaped my beard creating a look I definitely wasn't wanting. And a pencil thin mustache. Again, I only asked for the beard to be trimmed to a #4 but that's definitely not what I received.

Rey is the only barber there but he is excellent with cutting hair and has the best personality. He is very quick but extremely thorough. My husband has been going to Rey's for many years and has never had a complaint so much so that I started going to Rey's for my hair cut which is a very simple style - very short on the sides and back of the head and feathered on top. He does an excellent job cutting my hair so short and it really does help me with hot flashes. Rey even cuts my grandsons hair. They of course like it a little bit modern and he does a great job with that All in all you cannot go wrong with getting your hair cut at Rey's!

Gary, a nice guy but is no hairstylist and made me look un-natural. This is the worst salon I've ever been in. I am now with a great stylist who works with men's hair systems. He does not rush like most barbers but opts for quality. This is ideal if you desire that old fashion barber experience! If you are in a hurry you may want to run to one of those franchise salons where they are more focused on quickly processing their queue than getting things done the way you want. Since this shop is downtown, you will be parking in the street and at times may need to walk a half a block to two blocks depending on what is going on downtown. However, well worth the steps!
