This is a truly great salon. Mark has done both mine and my daughter's hair. He always has new ideas and suggestions on style and colour keeping me feeling and looking good. I would highly recommend this salon. Oh course Mark is my favourite but all the stylist's do a fab job. You can tell they all love and take pride in what they do. read more

Have had my hair done here by Gareth at least half a dozen times now (colour and cut). Really pleased with how he does it and will keep on coming back. Love my latest, shorter cut and am having fun styling it. Have had a lot of compliments on it. My father commented today that my hair looks like it's been cut and styled in a top London salon! read more

Mark is very knowledgeable and an excellent cutter. This is the first time I have been to the salon but definitely not the last. I would thoroughly recommend both Mark and the salon. read more

I have been a weekly customer of Mark One for 11years, in that time I have tried other popular salons including Liverpool, Manchester, London, France, Canada and New York, none have come close to providing the service and hair care I get here. Gareth is my stylist and also looks after several of my family members hair. I look forward every week to my appointment as the whole experience is an enjoyable upbeat one. I always without fail leave the salon with beautiful glossy perfect hair, I have received so many compliments over the years and recommended the salon to so many people. The best most luxurious products are used. From the moment you walk through the door you feel welcome, the assistants ensure a great shampoo and offer you at hot or cold drink. Your stylist is very experienced and knowledgable on style and colour. I have seen so many happy customers transformed over the years by Mark and Gareth, and remain loyal customers after their experience of the salon. I am very lucky to have such a great stylist and excellent salon where I live. read more

i have been to many hairdressers over the years and have never know such a friendly and proffesional studio from the moment you check in to the moment you leave you are given a drink of choice be it hot or cold the staff including the trianees are truly top class the owner of the studio Mark is a true craftsman and knows his craft inside out as do his other stylists christopher and gareth the shop is pristine clean and there is a lovely vibe in the shop of a truly friendly proffesional studio the music is is soft in the backgroung and you can chat freely with the staff or other clientelle if you wish the staff do not hurry you when you have finished and they are always so accomodating a truly genuine great experiance and not only do i travel over 30 miles to the studio but also my children will go no other place either a freindly studio with a smile for all marks out of ten for Mark One Are Overall 10 *** W.H.H read more

I've just moved to North Wales and came across Mark One after being recommended. My hair was in a dreadful state over bleached, and in seriously bad condition! I had a consultation with Mark, the owner, and he told me he could save my hair from being chopped and still have blonde through it. He told me all about the Nanomax treatment that the salon could do for me. I came home and read all about it on the net and couldn't wait to see if it could do what Mark had said it could. After my first treatment today WOW!!! I can't believe it's my hair!!! It's so light and shiny and soft I'm honestly amazed, it was like straw before! I can't stop touching it! Now I know why Mark was so enthusiastic about it. I did believe him when he said I'd love it but I honestly thought my hair was too damaged to be revived!! Can't wait for my next 2 treatments. I awoke on a wet ,dreary morning on holiday in North Wales. I really need a `new look` I told my husband, a visit to Rhos on Sea that particular morning changed that! I visited, on the spur of the moment MKOne salon. I was met by friendly staff and was introduced to Sam the stylist assigned to me. She was very welcoming and soon put me at ease as I was not sure what changes and style I wanted. She made several suggestions and I felt relaxed as we chatted. The atmosphere was professional, friendly yet low key. I was thrilled with the finished result `a new look ` had been achieved, even my grumpy husband remarked on my new style!! I definitely recommend this salon but I can`t believe [nor can my husband] that I travel from Stoke-on Trent to Rhos-on-Sea for my cut and style!!! read more

Popped in on Friday for a quick trim with Louise, had a cut and blow dry and have to say it was a fab experience, Louise was so friendly and gave me great advice came out feeling fantastic, my daughter went in the next day and Louise did a superb job of her hair and as my daughter is 14 she is hard to please lol but Poppi loves it. This is a fantastic hairdressers, Mark has been styling my hair for a number of years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel so welcome and all the staff are so friendly. I had my hair coloured for the first time ever today and I couldn't be happier, my husband loves it too.
