Shelly (hello, name twin!) was extremely prompt in getting back to us with a quote and even after me not responding for almost a week, she was able to schedule me next day at the time I asked! She also made sure to check in with me during and after the cleaning. Tammy is who did our cleaning, and she went above and beyond my expectations! She was extremely hard working and also very fun and pleasant to have. We were changing our door locks while she was cleaning, and even though she had already completely cleaned the floors in the room we were drilling and making a new mess (boo us), she came back and cleaned up after us! The previous owners left behind a distinct pet smell, and that is well gone. They also left behind a lot of junk items in the closets and cabinets. She made sure to ask in each room what was ours or if there was anything we wanted to keep and actually cleared out everything for us! I definitely recommend and will be using them again!

I have been using this company since Jan 2018 and this past Monday was my last day. We have a 2…read morebedroom house with a study and 2 living areas. We paid $125 every other week (biweekly). When we first started using Scrub & Grub we were impressed. Of course, there were little things to get worked out as with any new company but nothing major. Jennifer is the owner of the company. When they first started she assured us we were on her route and would come with someone else to help her. Over time, she started sending others to come and clean our house that did not have the same level of detail as Jennifer. With the various other crews we would express to Jennifer what our expectations were. I personally do not like going behind someone that cleans our home but I felt like I always needed to when other crew members would come. When I told Jennifer she would tell me it was hard to find good people (reference her Google reviews with various comments from people who have worked for her to learn more). Some of the things that were concerning to us were: 1. Mopping with filthy water. I noticed that our floors were streaked when the cleaning crew was finished. I literally had to clean my mop and go back over the floors to remove the streaks. I also know the floors were mopped with dirty water because sometimes they wouldn't dump the water and would leave the bucket and mop out for me to dump and clean the mop. When I started realizing this I expressed it to Jennifer and she said she would speak with them but if I was home, I felt like I had to go behind them and check and then ask them to change the water. 2. Trash cans were consistently missed and not emptied. This past time, Jennifer even came by herself and did not take any of the kitchen recycling or trash outside. This seems to be a common practice among other cleaning crews. 3. Rugs - Corners were not lifted before vacuuming or sweeping. Multiple times I asked for this to be done. 4. Raised furniture - apparently it's considered a deeper clean if you ask them to run the duster mop under them. They would do this sometimes with out charging extra to go under our sofa but many times this was not done. 5. Guest bathroom was not cleaned. When I inquired about this I was told "it looked clean." 6. Thankfully nothing in our home was broken. I went in to speak with the crew once and casually, one of the ladies put her shoe up on the side rail of our velvet upholstered bed. I asked her to remove her feet off the furniture and I did speak with Jennifer about this and she just referenced not everyone has the same common sense. I did hear Jennifer speak with her staff about things being broken at another house but it was not our house. 7. Inconsistent arrival times and changed schedule of days with minimal (evening before) notice. We started with a consistent agreed upon date but in the end they started changing the date on us. Her mother, Anna, does the scheduling for her. She has had some mishaps in her life which she was vocal about and we tried to give her leeway but the messages from her started becoming more random and she would forget to put us on our regular scheduled day. This past time I called her and asked Anna what was happening and she said she didn't know we worked (had a job) or had a specific day. People count and plan around their "cleaning days." I asked Anna to ask Jennifer to call me. Jennifer did not call me but instead sent me a text message saying "Let me be real honest here....my staff has requested not be sent to your home due to you making them uncomfortable. I am trying to continue to serve you by volunteering to do your home personally. As you have requested numerous times" So, let's get this straight...if I am paying someone $125 each time they clean my house...no one is "volunteering" here. If you change our agreed upon arrangement, it is your responsibility to communicate that and come and train the people you send to our house. I honestly do wish Jennifer the best. I personally like her. I did not have any issues with Jennifer when she came to clean our home but the overall service and the way the business is currently being run is not a service I want to continue to use.
