I highly recommend this place. Needed a colonoscopy ans this was a referral location for my insurance. I could not ask for a better experience. The nurses and doctors kept me informed of next steps and what was due coming next. Was in and out within 2 hrs. The online site made any follow-up questions easy and results were available quicker than expected. There is something off with this office - getting results and speaking to doctors who seem to be part time, getting letters written about the same tests while you wait for unknown results from labcorp who is as slow as molasses, scheduling a lab visit just to pick up stool sample tubs. If something is really wrong with you its going to take awhile for this office to get their act together to communicate and come up with a plan.... don't trust them. Like the woodbury office but I would suggest staying away from Eagan. read more

I was here for a follow up endoscopy, last one was in the hospital in January. It's the camera down your throat. Everything went so smooth and the experience so pleasant starting at check in. I was so happy to see Dr. Esther Connor again. She did my first colonoscopy in 2020. She had a lot to do since I put it off 12 years. It's so worth it to just get the procedure and not fool around with the idiotic mail order things. The staff that took care of me during the entire process were AMAZING at MNGI Eagan - from arrival to discharge. First impressed with the skilled nurse whom prepped me for the IV. I have small veins so was praying hard that the nurse using the needle was skilled and I wouldn't need to ask for another nurse as tears flooded down my face. I did NOT realize she had completed the process while I spoke with the Anthesiolgist. The team introduced themselves and their roles prior to the procedure. - LOVED that! I only regret I didn't write down their names for recognition. Oh and afterwards I informed the nurse that took care of me after the procedure that my hand didn't hurt or feel sore from the needle. As she removed, she showed me the needle was actually replaced with what appeared to be an optic flexible fiber. This is why you could move around as usual without concerns. Now I received my reports. I saw that NOTHING that I went to MNGI for was done. I knew that doctor was not listening to me and was more worried about his RVU and how much money he got paid. I also had a bill for close to 900 dollars. This place is a disgrace to medicine. As a health care person I know have to read reports. Shame on this place. Well . . Never did I imagine reviewing the offices of MNGI for expert and comfortable treatment during my colonoscopy today! From start to "end," I had the utmost in respectful care. All medical professionals were friendly and organized, never leaving me feeling uncertain or worried. Dr. Fallon is thorough and compassionate and answered any questions with good answers! Like . . I can't say enough great things to say about MNGI! I recently had a colonoscopy and everything was 10+ for me. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly, informative and accomodating. Special cudos to Laura, my nurse. She explained everything and answered all my questions. And she was so personable! Dr. Sanders also explained what would happen during the procedure and he put me at ease with his professionalism. I went to get my stomach and small intestines scoped after my blood work showed positive results for celiac disease. I was able to get scheduled and have my appointment within 10 days of my initial blood. My entire experience was enjoyable and the process was streamlined. All they do is colonoscopies and endoscopies; all of the staff are skilled, friendly and on top of things. I didn't wake up during anesthesia, the nurse only had to stick me once for my IV and I recovered quickly. No sore throat or bad cramps. They told me my test results immediately upon waking you up. Only 10 days from general bloodwork, to a procedure and answers to why I am feeling so sick. I even got a call from their nutritionist to schedule an appointment and talk about next steps before I even got in the car. I highly recommend this place and will be back! read more

I had an upper endoscopy at the Eagan clinic this morning. The staff was professional, compassionate, and kind. The clinic was clean and well organized. I was impressed with the thoroughness of their process. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and doctor met with me separately to explain exactly what was going to happen and how the process works. They were patient with my questions; I felt like I was in good hands. I was a bit nervous, after reading the negative reviews here, but my experience was positive. I am a local physician and was coming to see Dr. O'Reily For the first time. I arrived EARLY to my check in at 11:10. I know as a physician being early or on time is very helpful to keeping clinics on time and running smoothly. I was told my actual appointment was at 11:30 but that the doctor was running 20 minutes or so behind and that I will be waiting awhile. I was ok with that and asked if I could leave to go across the street to get a drink and come back at 11:30. She said that would be fine. I returned at 11:32. I double checked my phone. (the elevator ran bit slow). The lady at the front desk informed me that she wasn't sure that the Dr. O'Reily would see me any more since my actual appointment was at 11:30. I am not even joking one bit. I give my patients the courtesy of 15 minutes of what we call "grace time" because I know that sometimes we can't all be exactly on time. I feel 11:32 is "on time" for a physician that was running 20 minutes behind. I was so turned off by this policy of this office I decided it wasn't worth my time actually waiting to see if this doctor would see me, because its clear their policies are way more important that patients. I will not ever be referring my patients to this clinic or likely any of the different locations based on this experience. I had an upper endoscopy here. As others have mentioned, they clearly do a lot of these each day because you are processed like car parts in an assembly line. You watch a video, and then a parade of people come into the little room to explain risks, have you sign a release, and wall away. Incredibly impersonal. After the procedure, I was in a lot of pain. I knew my throat would feel sore and irritated but I couldn't even swallow water. I called the clinic and their only suggestion was to go to the ER. REALLY? No other suggestiins or help? Off I went, and after 3 hours there, walked out with a pain killer prescription. The next day, the gastroenterologist called to check on me, and he then admitted he had trouble getting the tube down my throat and that it took several tries! Couldn't he have mentioned it right after the procedure and maybe given me a prescription for pain killers then? Instead I had to spend hours in the ER and am now getting the hefty bill for it - on top of the bill from MN Gastro. It was all just ridiculous. May e this is a typical experience for thus type of procedure but if I have to have one again, I'm definitely going somewhere else. It just felt like these people didn't give a damn about me. read more

Do not use MNGI for any routine screening procedure. I was pre-approved for colon screen. I asked about being awake for procedure and told they do not allow. MNGI billed for Nurse Anesthesia and MD Anesthesia (2 same charges) which major insurance carrier denied due to "medically unnecessary." Months of re-claims, appeals still processing. Notification by MNGI of sending to me to collections for $400+ out of pocket. I have never had collections agency or credit issues. Learning from others that this is a routine practice for MNGI and patients are confused about it being a deductible or insurance issue. MNGI happy to put you on payment plan and collect for unnecessary charges. read more

I would grade these folks zero stars if I could. I am a retired nurse so I know a little bit about the medical field. I have 2 experiences with Mn Gastroenterology. First, I had surgery near my esophagus and was experiencing some difficulty. So my surgeon reccomended making an appt. for a scope. So I made appt at Mn Gastroenterology. After the procedure I was groggy and went home feeling very uncomfortable. I felt like I had ping pong balls hitting each other in my chest. I called Mn Gastroenterology, spoke to the doctor. He abruptly informed me to get to a hospital quickly as he must have perforated the incision. He certainly did, I was immediately hospitalized and had a g tube placed. For the next 2 months I couldn't eat anything by mouth. Missed a lot of work due to the carelessness of MN Gastroenterology. That happened several years ago. Recently my son went there. He was experiencing abdominal pain, and bowel movement urgency so strong that he would have to stop anywhere to go. (Even side of road). He made appt. with Mn Gastroenterology. They told him he was constipated!!!! WHAT really! Now, I know that if constipation was indeed the problem the stool would be liquid not fully formed. Then they charged him over $600. He still suffers and can not afford to return. He didn't realize that this was the group that harmed me or he would not have gone to them. I can think of no other words than uncaring and incompetence. Please read all the reviews, you have to advocate for yourself. read more

My girlfriend recently had a colonoscopy done with these guys. I asked her how it went after her first visit and she stated that one of the the doctors being extra friendly and unprofessional left the wand inside of her while doing her ultrasound extra long and was smirking after asking her if she's been sexually active commenting on how she doesn't need to work out and looks in great shape. Just a fucking creep. Not to mention how they misdiagnosed her 3 times and sent her to the ER and stressed her the hell out for the past two months. They're lucky I don't go up there and give that asshole a piece of my mind. She later changed doctors and as I am out of town for work had her father attend because she didn't want to be around the guy alone again. Ladies beware of the pretadors and doctors at this facility and take your business elsewhere. It's clear to see after reading the reviews what type of establishment this place is and I'm cringing even typing this right now. read more

Visited twice in a little over 2 months, first for an office visit and then an endoscopy. While the people and doctors seem very nice, there were several unfortunate communications as well as lack of communication/follow up that have caused me to question their competence and expertise. I'm not feeling comfortable in returning there again nor would I recommend them to my friends. read more

I am so happy to have found Dr. Aweis! She listened to me and came up with a plan to find out why I was having stomach pain. I had an upper GI at MNGI. Everyone was very nice and I was treated with dignity. They do many procedures there, but it was very streamlined and I was able to go on with my day. After hearing good things about MN Gastroenterology, I made an appointment to discuss the severe, intolerable pain I'd been having periodically in my upper abdomen. I had an endoscopy, an ultrasound, and an x-ray. I also specifically asked them to check my gallbladder. Apparently, nothing was found to be triggering this hideous pain. After filling out the same forms AT LEAST twice, and answering the same questions over and over--particularly that I do NOT suffer from constipation--they concluded I WAS just constipated and told me to use Miralax. I am livid. Just brushed me off, ignored my meticulous documentation of my issue, and slapped some convenient, ERRONEOUS diagnosis of "constipation" on my paperwork. **Update: I ended up in the ER 4 months later--after multiple subsequent horrible episodes--and the ER staff CORRECTLY diagnosed me as having a gallbladder packed with stones and sludge and said I needed my gallbladder removed as soon as possible. MN Gastro gets a FAIL for the 4 extra months of pain I endured, the thousands of dollars wasted at their clinic, and for the patronizing and INCORRECT diagnosis of "just constipation--take Miralax." Very pleased with my experience with Dr. Levine and the Minnesota Gastroenterology Center in Eagan. This is my 4th colonoscopy, each at a different practice. This was by far the best experience. They provided very clear instructions prior to the procedure. For $25 they also provide a complete prep kit so no need to find items in the drug store. I arrived there at 10:45 with my wife and in less than 5 minutes I was processed and taken to the prep room. The nurse set me up, I met with the anesthesiologist, and then Doctor Levine where they checked me over and informed me of the procedure. They were both informative and calming. I was then escorted to the procedure room with again, no waiting. As soon as I arrived in the procedure room I was set up, given anesthesia, quickly fell asleep, and woke up comfortably when the procedure was complete. No discomfort during the entire procedure. The Doctor briefed my wife and I thoroughly and we left a short while later with a complete write-up of the procedure and what they found. Dr. Levine was thoroughly pleasant and professional as was the entire staff. I highly recommend Dr. Levine and the MNGi in Eagan. read more
