Our treasures included a pizza oven cook book, a shepherd's hook, a birdhouse, some peach bbq sauce, a handmade pen, a large picture/wall hanging, and a few caramels. We love it all and can't wait to go back! Pro tip....be sure to use the restroom so you can read about the history of this beautiful space. Now you may think you are parking in a memory care apartment complex because you are. That's a part of this original Farmstead property. They take pride in MN. You'll find anything made by a local MN artisan here. There's a section devoted to just the MN State Fair. It may be stuffed to the brim with things, but it is organized well. Bath, body, kitchen, cabin, baby, faith, sports, fashion, treats. I usually want it all. And it's a great place to find a birthday or thank you gift. They offer gift cards and have offered basic gift-wrapping in the past (ribbon tied on the bag). They also host artisan markets to showcase some vendors. They gave me a postcard for an upcoming event, which includes food trucks. Sis and I stopped in on our way to the Downtown Anoka shops. But I found everything for my bday peeps here. Being pregnant, I absolutely loved the oversized baggy loungewear. I ended up purchasing two oversized tops, an athletic dress and a beautiful overall jean dress along with some cute blue buggy baby earrings to wear at my baby shower. While known for all the handbags, don't sleep on the earrings and boutique clothing. The clothing isn't for everyone, but if you like baggy - they have what you need. Every product is color coded and the plethora of earrings could take months to observe thoroughly. While there are tons of handbags, I actually think there are far more earrings and jewelry pieces. There's a single dressing room at the back of the store. They advertise for 3 items only, although, I think they should update this policy. I followed it by hanging everything directly outside the dressing room, yet it felt pointless to reach my arm out when I was done with 3 items just to swap out for new items. I loved all the bag options. My favorite one was a pink teacup. There were bags resembling books, a Rubik's cube and so much more. Luckily today when I stopped in, everything was 20% off. They also sell boutique clothing as well. The jewelry and boutique clothing weren't quite my style, but it was fun to poke around in here before our reservation at Hazel's across the street. I'd say more of a 40s-60s demographic for style and accessorizing pieces. Service was very friendly!

But it's packed with high quality, unique merchandise at very reasonable prices (see photos). Everything is clean, organized, and displayed nicely. Don't forget to checkout the 2nd floor balcony area. There are more goodies up there. I'd say that around 25% of the store is merchandise that wouldn't be considered an antique. I usually don't like this stuff but FBA does a good job. There are a few vendor areas with reproduction signs, bird houses, hand-made signs, and that sort of thing. But there's also a giant wall of high quality specialty cooking oils and vinegars in front - very cool. There's some amazing functional art on the front desk. There are instruments (and a pipe sculpture) converted into functional lamp art. I usually don't like this stuff. (I've seen other shops where someone shoves a light bulb on something old and tries to sell it.) But this artist, Charlie Fiss, is crazy talented -- amazing stuff! In particular, there was an awesome violin lamp with color changing LEDs (with a remote), a USB charger in the base, and a blue tooth speaker hidden in the violin so you can play music. The pipe sculpture lamp was pretty darn cool too. It had all kinds of doo-dads, knobs, switches, an old fuse, a digital readout, and an analog clock. Charlie - you rock! As a final note, the owner is really nice. My wife and I really enjoyed talking to her. Ironically, this building was built by her grandparents, and she has their photo proudly hanging by the front entry door. Unfortunately, it sounds like the city wants to buy this building so they can demolish everything and "develop" the land. Really? Do they need some junky condos or a crappy strip mall near the river? What a valuable resource for anyone with a deep love for dolls, and baby dolls, teddy bears, plushies, doll houses, doll furniture, action figures and figurines, doll fashion, fashion dolls and doll collecting. Offering home goods of every liking, my favorite was the Lakehouse Candle Co candles. I purchased one and enjoyed exploring all the other items such as pictures, maps, murals, pillows, blankets, sweaters and more. Sadly, as I go to write this review today, I realized the shop is permanently closing. I am so bummed! I bought several pieces for my house and my business as well. Really love it! If you want to overspend for the same kinds of things, then visit one of those high-end over priced stores. If you're looking for quality, unique pieces, but don't want to pay an arm and leg for it, then I suggest checking them out. The guys delivered the furniture without any problems. It was raining out that day and they made sure all my furniture was in plastic and protected and helped to set it up in the right place. It was greatly appreciated!
