Specialties
Mobeus Jewellers specialise in bespoke jewellery designed to your specification. We make wedding rings, engagement rings, matching sets, cuff-links, pendants, earrings, automated water lilys, full size roses, articulated earrings, family crests, just about anything we will make it. We are also experts in jewellery repairs and restoration and re-modeling which usually means taking quality precious stones from old rings and re-setting them in new rings in platinum or gold. We do white gold rhodium plating on the premises sometimes whilst you wait to bring worn looking white gold back to life again.
History
Established in 2000.
Mobeus Jewellers specialise in making you what you want, in our galleries you can see examples of some of the pieces we have made. We are fully trained goldsmiths with over 23 years of experience and all the work is done on the premises. We started out as a repair shop 9 years ago after many years as goldsmiths for lots of jewellery shops in the north east but then opened up our own shop and now we do not service any other shops we only serve our own customers. In the mobeus news section in our web-site www.mobeus.biz you can read about some of the projects we have been involved with over the years like an automated silver lily for Bowes Museum made with some school kids from a local school, and we are currently hand-making all the trophies for the TallShips coming to Hartlepool in 2010, we also make all kinds of jewellery and repair it and restore it or even re-model it in our purpose built workshop at Mobeus.
Meet the Business Owner: Mark L.
Hi I am Mark I have been a goldsmith for over 23 years and in that time I have learnt a lot about precious metals and stones. I opened my own shop 9 years ago and have not looked back since, my son has just gone to university to study film and before he moved we did some interesting videos which we put up on YouTube ( www.youtube.com/8mobeus8 ) to show some of the pieces we have made and how we did it. I love my job and like nothing better than to make a piece for someone which makes there eyes sparkle with happiness, which might sound corny but its true and at the end of the day in my experience that is what every customer wants so I do my best. Thanks for reading, Mark.
