This is one of the old truck stop that got torn down a few years back and was put in with the KT. The problem I find with this one is there's many other Kwik Trip travel centers now all over the place they are coming on strong and opening up many more which is really nice travel centers with laundry showers and more. This store tends to stay a little bit more dirty compared to other KwikTrips I'm afraid. A lot of times you come in the bathroom is a little unkempt and you have to flip the light letting them know time to attend to it. Some of the employees are not the most friendly they have a little attitude every now and then depending on who's working I have run into it with a manager assistant who works towards the evening shift, and their kitchen staff. Sometimes I ask for some fresh brewed coffee and they're like used to being the cut machine it's like you have the bag still I want a regular brewed one you're supposed to do it and you can see they're a little pissy because they start slamming stuff down like you're bothering them or something. And the kitchen staff sometimes tends to get really backed up and if you want something cook fresh which is something KT still does a lot but the problem is here they say it'll be quite an extended. Of time like if you want a grilled cheese or a slice of pizza especially made they'll make up some kind of excuse. But like I said the good news is if I just want to scale out grab a drink I can go down the road and there's probably between the Illinois state line and here north of Milwaukee five or six more now full travel centers. So maybe they'll get better on the ball and get on par with the other ones but like I said for me I do have to scale these heavy loads and this is the closest place to do it where I load at.

This is a brand-spanking new Kwik Trip as the company continues its relentless expansion program…read more (It opened just after Thanksgiving 2019.) It's conveniently located just off I-41 on Wisconsin 167 (Holy Hill Road) and just across the railroad tracks from one of my favorite restaurants. (See "Sawmill Inn" for more about that.) This is a nearly complete auto and truck plaza, there's no car wash but that's about all that's missing. It's a complete convenience store with sandwiches, coffee and soft drinks (after the Covid19 lockdown, anyway)and almost anything you could need in the coolers, freezers and food gondolas. Like all Kwik Trips, the bakery all comes from La Crosse and it's pretty good. If you happen to drive an 18-wheeler, there is a huge fueling station and certified scale. It's easy in and easy out with no silly roundabouts to come through, unless you're coming from the west. You'll find Diesel #2, Premium Diesel, and Diesel Exhaust Fluid. On a local note, this facility replaced an old "local choke and puke" truck stop that was under the sign of Skelly Oil Company. When Skelly stopped being a brand, it was rebadged as Mobil but the locals continued to call the place "Skelly's" right up until the day it was torn down to build this modern facility. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the locals call this new place Skelly's as old habits die hard. It's everything you've come to expect in a Kwik Trip and a whole lot more.

Creme Filled Long John with Chocolate Flavored Icing and Cookie n Cream: Kwik Trip is a convenience…read morestore/gas station chain located primarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip had chocolate icing and a multitude of OREO chunks decorating its surface. Cookies n cream is one of my favorite dessert flavors and I was ecstatic that it even contained creme in the center. I honestly thought this was going to be a top tier doughnut but could not have been more wrong. All the bells and whistles are useless if the basics are neglected. In this case, the body of the doughnut/dough had a bland flavor and did not taste fresh (or at least poor texture). I'd consider this a one off, but the last Long John I got from Kwik Trip was also underwhelming. I'll be sticking to "Glazers" from Kwik Trip moving forward. This was just okay Doughboy_Food_Reviews

It seemed like it was almost this was some sort of a prank. One good part though, as this visit was sometime during the 7pm hour on 1/15, the girl at the checkout desk, B/F & around 40 in age, was very nice & professional.
