I was an hour and a half from home and stressed about what I would do. The car was not operational. A wonderful mechanic saw my stress and came out to take a look. The line from the coolant to the radiator had come loose. Without a word, he began fixing it and then, for 45 min, had to add water and coolant repeatedly to get the engine cooled down. He stayed with the car, fixing it, knowing how backed up he was. It was not only a professional and thorough job, but truly a decent and kind act of humanity. I can't recommend these guys enough. Tried to go into the store to get my receipt but the door was locked and had a sign that said…read more"sorry - back in 2 minutes." I could see two men inside standing around and eating. No prob, everyone is entitled to a dinner break. After 10 minutes they still hadn't unlocked/opened the door. I knocked and one of them begrudgingly let me in. I told him my pump number and he handed me a receipt, acting like he was doing me a favor. After I got back to my car I saw that it wasn't my receipt. I went back for my receipt but they had relocked the door. I knocked again, they let me in, and I told them what happened. They were unapologetic and seemed irritated that I'd come back for the right receipt. I only went to Gulf because it wasn't crowded but the Shell station was. Now I know why. Never again.
