Those here are a dry-rub, spicy type. Someone's there making them from a private recipe. They have lots of other take-out foods, but also a couple of booths for dine-in. My experience so far suggests that you should arrive by lunch, or they're out. This stuff is fresh, distinctive. I need to go even earlier to try the biscuits and gravy. I love finding these places, but I've been driving past it oblivious for years.

The gas prices are typical for the area, and the attached convenience store (Hazens One-Stop) is nice and clean. It has most of the usual impulse items people seek in addition to gas - such as cigarettes, candy, Lotto tickets, pop, snacks, and the like. Very handy. Inside the store there is a Subway outlet, so you can get a quick sandwich...and one that is generally much fresher than the fast-food I've-been-heated-all-day hotdog. A Subway inside the gas station store is a nifty idea. Also attached and on the other side of the building is a real sit-down Italian restaurant - Giannettos. Known for its take out pizza, the restaurant also has a dozen or so tables and a more extensive menu. So you can stop by and fill up your tank and get a pizza to go...very convenient. While this line up of gas, Subway, and pizza may seem incongruous, they make it work. Since this area, in general, and this corner (Cleveland and Capitol), in particular, have not yet been fully developed, these stores are ahead of the curve and ready and waiting for customers. This location is primo as they are within one mile of an entrance/exit (#83) to the Indiana tollway. Come give it a try.

Today around 1:30 pm went to pump gas at Union street and The pump took my card and it said push your octane I did. it lit up and then it said do you want receipt and it wouldn't let me pump. It was pump 4. I went in and a very rude rude rude man or whatever he was tall, brown hair. I said to him pump 4 isn't working. I put my card in and he said it doesn't show up anything. Then I said I just need to know if it took my card He said "well move to another pump in a very rude manner, I said last week you had no electricity this week the pump doesn't work. He said the electricity never went out. YES IT DID. RUDE RUDE RUDE. I paid 7 more cents some where else and it was worth it to never go back to this FamiLY EXPRESS AGAIn.
