I like cars, drivers who work on their cars, get out there and try their darnedest to win, have a good time and are the good guys who entertain us race fans. Above all, I enjoy going to a race track that is family friendly so the kids are welcome and can grow up with at least part of what I was privileged to experience over the many years. About a month and a half ago I chanced to met Eddy Shoemaker (No not the jockey) at the drag strip. He and his people are working hard to bring us spectators and the racers a quality facility to enjoy. Remember, Eddy is committed the track will be family friendly. For the racers they removed the original asphalt racing surface and replaced it with a brand new solid concrete racing surface and them brought in a milling company to make the track smooth and level. Now that's what I call commitment. They built an eight of a mile of road smoother than a baby's..... I didn't know about this track and what happened to disappoint, Sarah B, the 2020 commenter. If she is still around, I would like to personally invite her and a friend to be my guest once Mr. Shoemaker and his people are ready to open and ask her to comment again on how things are now. (My offer is sincere. Though with my luck, lightning will strike the tree and someone will have to hand start the races like we did in old days.) It started 3 hours ago and it is the worst drag experience I have ever had! The reason people go to drag strips is to see the times that the awesome vehicles people have spent a lot of time and money on can run. Not a single time board lite up even for the TV celebrities. Will never be back and will let every person I know to go to Gulfport, at least they show times. What a waste of time and money for spectators and racers! I cannot tell you how upset this made our group. What a disappointment When I person nearby called the guy he knew in booth he was told one sides board was out so they turned them both off. This is a guy that knows the locals that run the drag strip and made the call. After the call the guy announced over speaker times for a few races then stopped.

We always have a great time at the BayBears game! Ticket prices are fair, the action is good and there's almost no bad seats. This is an epic (seriously, Hollywood level production) Christmas light show paired to the holiday music streaming on the radio of your car, and Hank Aaron Stadium knocked it out of the park! (See what I did there? Lol!) The show, the ease of navigating the layout, the directions, the innovation, the LIGHTS (my God -- the beautiful lights), the song selection, the comfort of enjoying from inside your vehicle and not freezing to death outside -- I loved all 20ish minutes of it! Everything was fabulous and like nothing I (nor the hubs) had every witnessed before! Mobile definitely knows how to put on a Christmas Light Show, and if you know like I know-- you'll grab your kid(s), grab $6 bucks per head over 3 yrs old, and get down to the stadium before the CNOL season ends. (Money more than well spent, trust me!) P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for Santa, he's there too!

Thriller nights of Lights is unlike anything else in the Gulf Coast area to have a family friendly…read moreand fun Halloween celebration. When you arrive you turn the radio to a certain station in order to hear the music. A note here, the music isn't a weak signal it comes in super clear and strong the entire time. Take your time as you drive through with no headlights on and flashing lights all around it would be easy to have a car wreck. The lights and different Halloween symbols and characters dance and sync up to the music. It's a good little attraction for the 6 dollar price. It took us about 20 minutes to go through it. The lines can get long on weekends and on Halloween night but in general the hours are dusk till 10pm. Go see it, it's super fun and we had a blast!

Heron Lakes Country Club for the WIN! I was planning a charity golf tournament with zero clue of…read morethe game of golf or tournament planning, with 3 months to do so. (Right?! I was completely green, pun intended.) Josh was fantastic in teaching me ALL the things, preparing me for everything I needed to know, and he literally held my hand from start to finish. His coaching and client support was phenomenal every step of the way. The team-- Calvin, Rick, Leif, and the young guys were great in supporting me with the heavy lifting, reassurance that everything was fine, and giving me tips on the operations and facilities things that I didn't know to think of. I was truly in the best hands for all things golf with these guys! I am excited to return for next year's tournament and work with this group again. I'm even looking forward to popping by for some of the themed dinner nights that the wonderful guy behind the bar shared with me. All in all-- We had a fantastic 1st event (13 teams strong). Kari, in the next fifteen years, we have to somehow teach 20,000 people a month and even more once those have gotten involved, that what's missing today in schools and centers from a full research evaluation with robots. We should see Art some day perform like energy itself due to present robot/computer technology in development like a cell phone never having been made yet but now in process. Doyle is seeking any help out there that would especially like to work before and afterschool programs, and have availability those times. There is vast expansion possibility due to extreme school demand for ceramics, mostly from its costly infrastructure. What's the greatest part for teachers in town is there's many many positions possible today including their assistants! And a market for teaching unmet demand value at... 45 million a year Kari.
