Just a quick review as I was just there this afternoon, but I have to give these guys their dues. Fantastic all the way. I had a remote starter bought for me as a gift several months ago and due to procrastinating hadn't gotten in to have it installed until last week. They found the sales information within minutes (without my having a receipt) and set up the appointment at my convenience. I arrived this morning assuming wrongly that a remote starter would take about the same time as a stereo system. When I found out that it was 3+ hours they asked if I had a ride and because I did not provided me transportation home. Later that afternoon when it was finished they called and I had not gotten transportation back so they came and got me. Now...I know that it must have been somewhat luck on my part that they must have had some downtime today but the fact that they took out the time and effort for my convenience is extraordinary service in my book. Very good experience. I had a remote starter installed on my wife's Honda CR-V and they completed the job in less than three hours with knowledge and service and a minimum of drama. The owner's son even dropped me off at home and picked me up again when the work was done. The staffs were courteous and friendly. They installed a rearview camera, which wasn't done correctly the first time. The view was totally off looking towards the ground rather than straight out and was off-centered. Came back a second time, to have it re-adjusted. Impressed. Stopped by when the after market alarm on our Toyota was acting goofy after a battery change. Don't know who installed it as in the vehicle when we bought it. The guy came outside, checked it out, and fixed it. Turned out to be something simple. They didn't charge me even though it wasn't purchased through them. Wow. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND WAY OVER PRICED! BEST ADVISE SKIP THIS SPOT. I called Mobile Electrics inquiring about getting a radar mirror mount installed for my V1 radar. The guy I spoke with originally told me he couldn't quote a price without seeing what I needed done. This was no prob so I made an APPT for a few days later. When I arrived I was told that they didn't see my APPT on the books. YUCK "first red flag" I then explained I called and he said nope but he could squeeze me in anyway. I then ask how much it would be since they wouldn't quote me over the phone? He ask what type of car and then said $150-$180 if there was no issues. Keep in mind I already have the kit with me. This is usually done in 15 mins by amatures on youtube btw. I said wow thats damn near 4 times higher then other business quoted me. Long story short I could been quoted that over phone and never wasted time coming and I had it installed today for $50 at another shop. YES $50 dollars took less then 15 mins and looks amazing! read more

After reading ALL the comments I see a example of TESTOSTERONE overload. Why are women patient and appreciative? And men aggressive and impatient. You guys should try treating people the way you want to be treated. Courtesy is nonexistent . Sure these are critical times but we all have issues to deal with. Remember PLEASE and THANK YOU. Now we've been going to the store since 2005. The alarm on my car lasted 11 years. I would run by if I couldn't get it to work and a couple times I was during something wrong or need a new battery. Joe has always help me make the remotes last as long as possible as I am a military veteran and hard on my buttons. I have also stopped by several times and if Joe is out Fernando is willing to help me. So in conclusion THANK YOU. Great service on my remote starter installation. Joe and Louis were great. Joe gave me a quote up front and explained how the system would work. Another shop said they wouldn't work on any German car, let alone my 2015 manual GTI. The system even works better then I expected, with all previous functionality working. I get nervous with the German electronics, but my touch lock and unlock work and the remote start function is great. Luis explained all functionality and made sure he answered all my questions and that I was comfortable with everything before I left. Who knew you could do this with a manual transmission. Fernando's expertise saved me a lot of money by installing blue-tooth and replacing a factory subwoofer instead of replacing my whole sound system which would have cost me thousands of dollars more. When I called Mobile and described the problem, they knew exactly what the problem was based on the make/model and gave me a ball-park estimate to fix it based on their past experience. Really recommend this place for automatic start installation! I called around and couldn't find a better price. Many of the places I called had Groupon offers that ended up just being scams to get you to pay $150 or so for the Groupon and then charge you more at the door, so I'm glad I called this store and was informed about the Groupon scams. The owner was so nice, my car was done in about 3 hours and the appointment was basically a walk in since I called earlier in the morning and was in by noon. I was even offered a ride home and a ride back so I could avoid paying an Uber fee! Extremely pleasant experience and I would recommend this business to anyone. They truly care for you and the end product was perfect! I will be moving out of state in about a year and they went so far as to let me know where I could service my autostart if ever needed since I would no longer be in the area. These guys are great! They are experts in what they do, they do not cut corners and they are very honest and fair. I went in the day before Thanksgiving to inquire about a remote starter and installing an aftermarket stereo I had taken out of my previous vehicle. After going over the remote start options with me, I chose a device and they asked me if I wanted to go ahead and install it that day. I hadn't planned on such quick turn around and did not have a ride home arranged, so they gave me a ride home! They said they would stay until the job was complete, the day before a holiday, and they did just that. They had a problem with my stereo not working and did everything they could to troubleshoot but came to the conclusion that it would need to be replaced. They gave me a very fair deal on a new stereo and were able to install it in a matter of minutes the Friday after Thanksgiving. I give these guys credit for excellent customer service and extremely skilled work and they stand by their products and labor! They may be a bit more expensive than some other big box store but remember you get what you pay for, and when it comes to expensive electronics you should want the best installation possible. The guys at Mobile Electronics are true pros. I'd take this place any day over a big box store. They've installed superior sound systems in both my cars, and answered all my techie questions with no BS. Their installations are clean and professional-looking. They make equipment recommendations based on what you want; not what they want to push out the door. When I didn't like how big the subwoofer box was for my wife's subcompact, they took it back, built a smaller box to the specs I gave them, all for no extra charge. Can't say enough good things about this shop - would recommend to anyone wanting to trick out their ride with sound, remote start, whatever. Bait and Switch - I went in last week to get an estimate for installation of some speakers and an amplifier and the owner of the shop told me it would be around $175. Come back on Monday to have the work done and now they want to charge me $553 WTF??? You are now telling me it is 3 times what I was quoted, you would think the owner is the one to set the prices and would know what he is talking about. Complete waste of time... read more

I called on Tuesday to set an appointment for Saturday to have them install a remote start. They told me to bring it in at 9am and I was the first appointment for the day. They also told me it would take 3.5 hours. 12 hours later, after cancelling dinner plans and calling 5 times for an update, I finally drove past the joint to see what was up. My car was in the parking lot next to a #$@R$#%$ Mazaratti which I'm sure they took ahead of my car. I went in to pick up my car thinking it was done and they told me it would be another 1.5 hours. Since I was there 1/2 before closing, I was not happy. Dinner plans cancelled, still no car, they finally called me at 7:00PM. I picked up the car and they knocked off $20. Big friggin deal. I will let you know if there are any problems with the actual install because I'm too tired at this point to care!!! read more

If I was reviewing on the remote start I had them install I would easily be giving a 5 star review.... With that being said only go to them for that, I haven't had issues and they have a wide selection of kits to choose from... Now for the reason of 2 lousy stars.... I went to them for the install of an HID 6k headlight kit install, they told me they offer two kits one with a 6 month warranty and one with a year warranty about 300 out the door installed, so sure why not about 4 hours into the install, my car needed anti-flicker harness $50 sure why not.... The kit was completed 6 hours later and $350 out of my pocket and worked well for about 5 1/2 months coincidentally until the weather started to get colder. Here's where things start to get bad and the true type of business they run comes out... My driver side headlight stopped working, brought it in they changed the bulb no questions asked... Two days later it stops again I call Mario and he says that's weird bring it in and we'll change out the kit, OK great, I bring it back And they change the kit, it's working again... It's been about 3 days and it's working well so I have a new grill put on (I did it myself I'm fairly handy) and it just clips on like most grills of most models all the fender clips were replaced they break fairly easy they are plastic, but by the time I was done they were all brand new and not one was missing, also neither the headlight or the kit was touched in this whole process which is important to know for later. About three days go by and now the passenger side is not working. Again I call up Mario, he chuckels and says OK bring it by, so again I find time out of my day drop off the car, a few hours later he calls and says that it's not the same grill and they noticed the led light that were in the turn signals aren't there, he then accuses me of messing with the HID kit and removing the anti-flicker harnesses, i assure him never touched the headlights and that I removed the turn signal led they weren't bright enough. An hour later the car is done I go and pick it up, at this point I talk to a tech be the name of Luis and he says the car is working, he also tells me that the anti-flicker harness was there just not plugged in.... As I drive back to work, my hood wasnt properly latched down so I stopped the vehicle and latched the hood and continued... Mind you at this point I'm very much fed up with the place, they can't get things right and I'm being accused of messing with the kit yet alone removing things, just absurd! ... And again about 3 days later the headlight stops working again, once again I call up Mobile electronics talk to Mario and express my frustration, tell him I want them out and my money back I've been there now going to be the fourth time in less then 3 weeks. He says you'll have to talk to Joe the owner. The following day I bring in the car, Joe the owner says oh Mario knows he'll be in. I think at this point I'm getting the factory lights put back in, Mario says hi and pulls my car in, he doesn't say anything else until the car is finished . Mario says the car is done they changed out the ballist it was bad, and then again he says we found more broken clips by the grill, and then he's not sure who is messing with the car if it wasn't me. I said that's impossible they were all new and then I again expressed my frustration in the past few weeks and he rolled his eyes as if it wasn't their fault. What a character... After all that the headlights didn't turn on all together last night on me, I had them ripped out this morning and am writing this review to warn everyone else about this place, I'll be going to ABC automotive off of roosevelt and harlem for my stuff! read more

this used to be a good fair place to get work done. not anymore1 THEY SEEM TO HAVE A TIME WARP IN THE GARAGE. i brought my new car in to have after market side moldings put on. i asked several times how much it would be. joe said to bring them in and he would tell me a price. he never did until the day of install. and i was qutoed 99 and hour. some poor lady brought her Cadillac SUV to have and after marker device installed, and they quoted her 300, don't know what the final price was. installing the moldings on my car took just over 30 minutes. Joe said they had to use "extra tape". bs meter went off. wasnt near and hour to justify charging labor so they ripped me off for about 50 bucks, but they are too stupid to realize they lost a customer for life and will never buy anything there again. buyer beware. THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU. shop keepers are going to learn customer service is first. they only way this clip joint gets 5 star ratings is because reviewers dont know nay better read more

I'm rating this place 1 star because of what happened today. This other place quoted me 350-400 to install 4 door speakers and an amp plus a line converter. So I thought that was high so I came here to mobile electronics due to good reviews. Instead of quoting me a price over the phone they asked me to come in. So I do so...they seriously didn't need me to come in. They looked stuff up on the computer for the most part and looked at my speakers an amp which I could have just told them the specs over the phone. THEN they quote me $841. TO INSTALL SOME DOOR SPEAKERS. These reviews say how nice they are when it comes to giving people rides home and what not which I'm not doubting, but no wonder why. They charge almost a grand for some simple stuff. I will be taking my business to mobile concepts which quoted me more then HALF what these guys charge. When I was in there, I felt like they try to squeeze every dime out of you. Keep in mind, this wasn't the older white guy..it was the younger Puerto Rican'ish guy. He quoted me for a $100 distribution block I believe which he did mention there were cheaper options but still, why would you just quote me for one of the more expensive ones? I can get a good one online for $25. then $130 for mounting brackets incase they would have to use them. SERIOUSLY? just use the brackets that came with my speakers or my stock ones already in the car. Or AT LEAST throw them in for free considering you're already trying to rip me off. I'm NEVER REFERRING ANYONE here. Not worth the time or drive when they could just give you a quote over the phone instead of wasting your time and gas to drive there just to feel like they want to take advantage of you. The guy seemed like a total dick anyways. AND considering that the distribution block was 100, and since they wanted to charge me more than twice what others were going to charge me just proves that he clearly quoted me ONLY using expensive stuff. Like wires and mostly anything else I would need. INSTEAD of physically going over every single thing I would need BEFORE quoting me a price to weigh my options. Who does he seriously think I am that he would try and pull some shit like that to me? Hell no.
