Back in April I called Mobile Kangaroo to see if they would help me unlock my 3GS so I could travel with it. Ted said to wait a couple weeks for the newest update on unlocking the 3GS. Luckily for me AT&T said that if you've fulfilled your contract (had the phone a full 2 years) you could unlock the phone to use on other networks, or in my case, travel. It turns out I didn't need Mobile Kangaroo for my iphone. However, I ended up buying the Yelp deal *just in case* I needed it for future iphone or laptop issues. Low and behold today was the day I'd have Ted help me. My laptop was acting up and in a panic I rushed to Mobile Kangaroo, hoping that Ted could fix it. It was DOA and he said it'd take an hour or two. An hour and a half later, Ted managed to fix my laptop for a reasonable price. Customer service was excellent - while I was waiting, many customers came in for phone service and Ted handled every one of them seamlessly and with a smile on his face. Mobile Kangaroo has screen repairs down to a science. My mom cracked her screen on her iPhone 5s this morning. After assuming that the phone was beyond repair (a third of the screen didn't work) and deciding whether to replace it with another 5s or the new SE, I decided to see if Mobile Kangaroo would be able to fix it. They made it seem like it wasn't a problem and had the repair done in 15 minutes. As somebody who has trust issues with any iPhone repairs outside of Apple and their stores, I would recommend Mobile Kangaroo to anybody that needs an out of warranty screen repair. I found Kangaroo by accident. Much like how I broke the display on my Samsung S4 by accident.....OUCH! When I dropped my S4 on the payment, I feared the worst and when I picked up my phone my fears were realized. Cracked and ugly leaving me feeling very stupid. At least the phone still was functioning and with a quick search on google I called the first place listed who quoted me a price for repairs. I made my way to the repair place, but when I pulled up I found two cell phone fix it spots. I could not remember the name of the place, so I walked into Kangaroo first where I met Ted. He looked over my phone and quoted me a price and exactly the process they would use to repair my device. It was slightly higher than the other place. He explained what the other places process would probably be and it really didn't appeal, but he did encourage me to go over and inquire with them anyway. I took his advice and headed to the "other" shop, and sure enough the process described by Ted was exactly what he said. Now I am sure it's "fine", but do I really want "fine" or do I want my phone back to the way it really was? Ted at Kangaroo was able to place original Samsung parts on my phone for slightly more and made my phone look (believe it or not), better than when I walked in. He replaced the entire front, including the metal edge (mine had some nicks and dings that are now gone). My phone functions just like new. For the record, since having my phone repaired the staff at AT and T in Belmont told me they send everyone to Kangaroo for phone repairs. read more

My iphone 11 screen was cracked. Two days ago, the screen messed up in which it was glitching and started to black out. It got worse the next day and today so I tried to make an appointment with Apple and it led me to this site which is Apple verified. I replaced the battery in my MacBook Pro free of charge ( just shortly before my Apple Care warranty expires), after 3 brief visits, designed to minimize the time I would be without the computer. Edmond L. the Store Manager was extremely reliable and helpful. After the battery part on order at the first appointment ( arranged the same PM!) arrived a few days later, I dropped off the Mac without prior appointment and the computer was ready within 2 hours as promised (3rd visit, only briefly, for pick up). Didn't Take Advantage of Customer Request: Needed what appeared to be a battery replacement on my MacBook Air, which suddenly wouldn't recharge. Edmund the repair technician initially recommended and quoted a battery replacement ($235). We were setting that up when he then suggested to "take a look at one possibility". He took my computer in back and came back about 2 minutes later, handed it back to me and said "a connection had gotten loose". He fixed it and now the computer works like new. Then something even more awesome occurred. I went to pay for the service and he replied, "It was such a simple fix, no charge. Remember me next time you need service". I definitely will. Broke my iPhone for a battery repair and now they are expecting me to pay for a new phone. Beware of this location. They are saying Apple does not cover this over the battery warranty but I never had the issue before I brought my phone in for repair. My iPhone 6S screen suddenly went dark. I immediately took it to the Apple store, they ran diagnostics and said the screen needed to be replaced, but the phone should still work. I needed a working phone right away, so I bought a new phone that day and opted to get the screen replaced on my 6S elsewhere for cheaper (at Apple's suggestion). I went to Mobile Kangaroo based on my husband's recommendation - they helped him with his Macbook after our kid spilled milk on it. I easily made a same-day appointment with Mobile Kangaroo through the Apple website. I walked in a few minutes before my appointment time, was warmly greeted by the person working in the back (the random voice greeting me threw me off at first) and he quickly assessed what needed to be done. Diagnostics confirmed the phone should still work and the screen was dead - same thing Apple told me. But, after the guy replaced the screen and worked on my phone for an hour, it wasn't turning on. We even switched the sim card from my new, working phone, and nothing. After all that time and effort, he confirmed the 6S was not working and was in fact dead. Well, I'm glad I didn't go through the wait at the Apple store to find that out. I offered to pay him for his time, but he insisted and sent me on my way. That was totally unexpected and I have not experienced that level of customer service in a very long time! And while I was waiting, I witnessed him treat each of the three customers that walked in after me with a level of courtesy that is so rare these days. On Monday, July 20, I turned up at the store after making an appointment through Apple.support.com. It took several hours across two days to secure an appointment to have my iPhone 6S battery replaced at this Mobile kangaroo store. I already knew the battery needed to be replaced because of checking inside 'settings' where an iPhone will inform you that that's the situation. Sadly, in the four days it took for me to secure the appointment, the battery died. Of course, I expected to walk in and have the battery replaced. Instead, I was told that if the phone would not start up, after he tried to charge it, they would not be able to replace the battery. Yes, this makes no sense... The manager said that Apple required the phone to be able to be started up - in order to replace the battery. Being a businesswoman, I sought a different way to accomplish the goal. I indicated that I would be willing to just buy the battery directly from Mobile kangaroo and have them put it in-as if it were not under the Apple servicing arrangements. The manager refused to do this. It is shocking to see reviews immediately beneath this one of easy iPhone battery change outs by Mobile kangaroo. --- Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware. --- I wasted hours and hours attempting to get this Apple battery replacement appointment only to discover that it was a complete and utter waste of time. Went twice, once for a diagnostic (5 mins), they ordered the part and then two days later for the repair (30 mins). Very professional, no complaints! (Edit) The fan on my laptop started making wirring noises the day of, I brought the laptop back the next day and they didn't want to take responsibility. Apple site lists battery replacement at $200 for my 12" MacBook---that's no bargain, but I needed a new battery. So I called Apple and they told me to take it to Mobil Kangaroo because they were the closest authorized repair center, which I promptly did. Mobil Kangaroo told me to make a deposit of $65 and they'd get to work, which they did. Then the bait-and-switch happened, instead of the $200 price tag, I was told it would cost $363.11, and I promptly said, NO WAY. Now I am out $65 and still have a dead battery. After I explained the problem, the person at the shop didn't even take a few seconds to come to the conclusion that the motherboard or something needs to be replaced and that will cost me $700. Came here after my mom's iPhone 6S battery went bad. It was still under warranty with the manufacture so I had my mom go to the Apple Store first. Her visit there of course didn't go well. They looked at her phone and told her that her phone wouldn't be covered because the charging port was somehow "replaced" when she's never gotten it replaced nor would she know how or where to do that at. I think they didn't want to help her cause her English isn't as great. Thanks Apple. I cracked the screen on my phone and needed it replaced asap. I've never had my screen repaired before so I was unsure of the process to get it fixed and how long it would take. I do know that the appointments for the genius bars fill up fast and I couldn't afford to wait. After going to the apple site, I saw that this place was certified by apple and had availability to take my phone same day. This was the process: 9 am: Make appt. for 12:20 12pm: Show up and drop off phone. Receive quote for $129 to fix screen 3pm: Receive phone call that phone is fixed and ready. 5:30 pm: Pick up phone and pay. Done. That's it. Back in the day if you broke your phone you had to either pay for a new one or just use an old one until you had your upgrade eligibility. A couple of months back, my oldest daughter just got back from camp, and one of the first things she wanted to do was to find her iTouch, plug in her earphones, and listen to some of her tunes. When she found her iTouch in her room, the screen had a crack going from one corner to the opposite one. We didn't touch it, but we asked someone who might have. Our youngest likes playing games on her sister's iTouch, and when we asked her if she knew what happened, she just looked down on the floor. Well, what's done was done, so I went about to see what my options were to have the screen replaced. I started with the Apple web site, and they were quoting $90 to replace the screen, and I would need to send it in. Next, I searched on Yelp for local repair shops. I called a couple of them, but either they didn't answer, or they were too busy. When I called Mobile Kangaroo, the person on the other line gave me a good quote for repair, and also said that if I came in within the hour, he could replace the screen while I waited. Hopped in the car, made it down to the store. I guy who answered my call met me at the front desk, and got to work on my iTouch. Half hour later, it was good as new. All was well in the Steve L. household. There's a good reason why there's some good reviews on Yelp. The repair prices are reasonable, and great customer service. So if you happen to have your new iPhone or iTouch in your back pocket, and unintentionally did a butt-dial and cracked the screen while sitting down, keep this place in mind for repairs. I cracked my iPhone 4 screen last night (perhaps shattered is a better description) and needed to get it repaired ASAP (getting glass slivers in my finger was not the best way to use a touchscreen!)
