I started having lower back pain a while ago and it only had gotten worse. Therefore, I went to Dr. Li for help. He wanted me to do some exercises to help reduce the pain but tried his best to tailor it to my needs to make sure that the exercises would actually help me instead of making things worse. Dr. Li not only helped me better understand how my muscles work and ways to use them correctly. His treatment is more on the holistic side where he also cares about improving my health as a whole as such sleeping better and breathing more correctly. I think that's the best way to approach my problems because my back problems could have been persisting partially because of other problems that had also been happening. read more

Deeply disappointed with my treatment here. I went here 2x a week for 4 weeks, and my symptoms got worse the more I came here. I came in for tight muscle issue around my shoulders, and I ended up with nerve impingements down both my arms. I'm not saying Dr Li caused the nerve impingements, but it was greatly exacerbated after my visits. After most of my visits, when walking home, my ulnar and median nerves were more tingly than when I came in. Dr. Li is a chiropractor and physical therapist, so he charges for both treatments, making an average visit 2x the cost than a visit to most other PT's. His appointments are also only 30 minutes, with 10 mins spent on talking about how I'm feeling, 10 mins spent on chiropractic adjustments, and 10 min on showing me exercises I should do at home (most of which are already on his instagram btw). By contrast, I started seeing a new physical therapist who charges me less than half the cost of Dr. Li, and my appointments are 1 hour long. The treatment plan I received from Dr Li was starkly different from another PT. For example, because I have ulnar and median nerve tingly-ness, he recommended that I do 30 nerve glides at one go, several times throughout the day. My new PT (along with all other PT resources I found online) said to do NO MORE THAN 10 at one go, because doing more irritates the nerve too much. And that's exactly what happened when I would attempt to do 30. He also assigned me to do 20 push-ups for an exercise, without being aware than bending my elbows less than 90 degrees caused more irritation to my nerves. By contrast, my new PT is giving me exercises that don't put as much strain on my elbows to help me build back strength without causing more pain. I'm glad that Dr. Li was able to help other patients but it was a total waste of money in my particular case. read more

I've loved my treatment at Mobility Plus. What sets it apart from previous PTs/Chiropractor's I've gone to in the past is the education and communication I receive about the exercises I'm doing, and how they are helping me to recover. In the past, I've been worried to tell my PT that the exercises I was doing weren't helping, or were actually hurting. Right away, Dr. Li created an environment where I felt comfortable letting him know how my treatment was going, and communicating with him so I could get the most out of my treatment. He's also great at responding to my emails and messages about my treatment and adjusting my exercises in between our visits as needed. I went to Dr Li and Dr Ashley for an issue with my neck muscles always tensing up and causing a lot of pain. Dr Li was able to recommend a course of exercises to strengthen the muscles around the problem area to reduce the severity and frequency of the issue. Over the course of a few months we worked through the program and I noticed a significant improvement! Dr Li and Dr Ashley are very knowledgeable and care deeply about their patient's well-being. Their focus is more on preventative maintenance of your body to stop or reverse any issues you may have. (Of course Dr Li will make any adjustments as needed as well) They are more expensive than other Chiropractic and Rehab locations but the results speak for themselves. Other clinics focus on quick fixes to temporarily alleviate the pain. At Mobility Plus they will do that but also give you the tools to prevent it going forward. Dodged a bullet with this place. I called to schedule as a new patient around 11:30am. They didn't answer, but sent a text a few minutes later stating that texting is the easiest and quickest way for them to respond. After I explained why I called, they sent a link for me to follow. Well Not everyone has internet available every second of the day. I asked If I could just call and schedule. They said they "Prefer" online so they don't miss any information. Well if I'm on the phone, they can ask anything they want, so if information is missing that would be on the person conduction the call, so maybe train your employees better, or retire that lame excuse. After I told them I didn't have internet at the moment they replied saying they "may not be the best fit for me". That message was received at 2:14pm after I called again at 1:30pm because they still hadn't answered. So almost 3 hours go by yet that was the "quickest and easiest" way of handling a simple situation that would have been a 3 minute phone call. Perhaps rather than saying you "Prefer" online, just say you require it and that you never answer the phone. Upon further inspection of their website, I also noticed that they require you, to allow them, to keep your bank card on file so they can run it whenever, for however much they want. RED FLAG! They say it's "Secure" but the WA State Dept. Of Health, Target, & Premera all said the same thing to me before they had to tell me they were hacked and my data was stolen!! All I got was a sorry and here is a year of credit monitoring. They try to sell it as "Better and more convenient for you" but it really is only beneficial to them. This statement from their own website is alarming: "We will charge the amount that your health plan determines is your responsibility". So no bill (Cuz they are again too lazy and cheap to send a paper bill) no warning, they just reach in your bank when they want, for how much they want. NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! DONE! BYE! GONE! NEXT! They do claim that they will refund any discrepancies, but wouldn't it be easier to contest a bill and then pay what is actually owed rather then waiting for them to refund you? This interaction has told me that their main priority is to collect your money by forcing you hand over your banking info for them to retain. Their other priorities is to lessen their work efforts by making you schedule your own appointment (Do I get a discount off my bill for doing your job for you?) & lessen their cost by having no printed bills or postage to pay for. To even do any of this you also have to create an online account, that I don't want with more of my data "Securely stored" with a user name and password I don't want to have to deal with. They couldn't even talk on the phone, if they can't even provide that simple and expected customer service, how else are they cutting corners? They seem incredibly lazy and selfish and couldn't careless about you and your problems, they just want their money, and hide behind the internet. It's one thing to protect your business, but this is another level. Requiring bank info to keep on file should be illegal. I can only imagine how terrible it would have been to actually be their patient. read more

Dr. Li and Dr. Ashley are miracle workers!! They really care about your concerns and genuinely want to help their patients. I previously have had a bad experience with another local chiropractor so I loved the fact that they did not have me take any tests or x-rays. It really put me at ease that they weren't after my money and weren't quacks! I came in to see them for shooting pains in my left leg which Dr. Li diagnosed as sciatica. He demonstrated how and why certain positions are painful and Dr. Ashley assigned "homework" for me to do at home. All of the exercises that she had me to were completely doable and simple enough to correctly do it by myself. My sciatica went away in 3 weeks!!! And then I had to come back in again for another issue. My left arm was acting up now and I had trouble going to bed because of it. I've had problems with it since high school but didn't see anyone about it so I thought I would give this a go too. Dr. Li identified it as a pinched ulnar nerve. It was such a relief to put a name to the pain I have been experiencing and so happy to learn what I can do to "unpinch" it. For both issues, I didn't feel like I was in this alone. Dr. Li and Dr. Ashley were there every step of the way and available to any questions. I really appreciated the fact that they not only treated the symptoms but also the WHY. They helped me understand why I was in pain and how to prevent it going forward. Also, shout out to Anneka and Rose (I hope I got her name right)!! Anneka works at the front desk and is friendly and personable. We talk about things from the weather to whether cold brew and iced coffee are the same (it's not, Dr. Ashley!). I have been struggling with a hip and lower back injury for sometime and went to see Dr. Ashley after visiting a few PT places in downtown. I am very fortunate to bump into Mobility Plus as this seemed to be a good fit from the way Dr. Ashley approaches her treatment plan + this place is about 6 mins walk from work. I initially started going to Dr. Li due to a sharp neck pain. The very first appointment he told me that it is his goal to not only fix the pain, but to help me better understand what caused it, and what I can do to help sustain recovery. After a few weeks of seeing him, and working with Dr. Ashley on different exercises and movements to do at home, I felt better than I had in as long as I could remember. On a visit home recently, I realized just how much they have taught me through their thorough explanations of all their techniques. While home, my mom's neck pain (which she sees a Chiro for, and has had injections to help with pain) started to act up again. It got to the point that it was causing headaches so severe she was vomiting -- and her having Lupus, this reeked such havoc on her body she contemplated going to the ER. I was able to take techniques provided to me by Dr. Li and Dr. Ashley and show them to my mom -- after 30 min her headache was gone, vomiting subsided, and she was able to get rest. I did not ask for this advice, and do not believe it was appropriate or necessary comment. It's never a good experience to be body shamed by a professional. Dr.Li is the best chiropractor I've seen so far. I recently had a neck issue and couldn't even move my head. He first worked on making the pain more manageable, making sure I add more range of motion and once things settled provided exercises to do at home as well as recommendations on what I should look for to make sure it doesn't happen again. He is very knowledgeable and look at his patients as a whole this is why he takes his time understanding what is the situation at home (my workstation for example) to understand my postures and also come up with a treatment plan and at home exercises that fit in our lifestyle. A huge thank you to Dr. Li and his staff.  I went to go see them last winter after I injured myself doing HIIT Lab (no offense to HIIT, it was my fault for having bad form after over exerting myself). The pain in my neck was like nothing I had felt before and it made it extremely hard to concentrate at work.   On a whim, I walked over to his office on a break to see if he could fit me in after seeing the amazing reviews online.  I am so glad I did!  Dr. Li was able to provide me immediate relief through some adjustments and by showing me exercises I could do on my own.  After that, he was able to teach me more about how I could prevent injuries like that in the future (I needed more core strength and needed to do a better job focusing on my breathing during cardio).  He isn't about having people come in just to get adjusted... he works with you to resolve the underlying issues so you can fix for the long-term.  I am fully back to to doing my normal activities! read more

I cannot give Dr. Li a high enough review for how amazing he is. Let me start by saying my husband began going to Dr. Li a few months back. He saw him twice a week for a while and then eventually down to once a week. Dr. Li helped him tend to a injury that happened while working out, taught him the proper way to do what he was doing, and helped him build up his strength. He not only helped him with all of the above but also improved his posture and self confidence. My husband always left Dr. Li's office feeling like he had a workout. After just a few appointments with Dr. Li, my husband began BEGGING me to start seeing him, too. I had pretty intense joint pain that I chalked up to working full time in a restaurant. My biggest complaint was my hips. The severity of my pain would prevent me from sleeping. I had seen doctors previously about my hip pain and they always blew it off as nothing. So, I did too. (Now, I have quite the fear of chiropractors so I resisted for the longest time. My pain did not out conquer my stubbornness and irrational fear.) In september I got into a bad car accident and my husband threw his hands up and basically said, "You have to go in!" With hesitation, I agreed. My husband came with me to my first appointment and sat with me as I explained my fear to Dr. Li. So, when it came down to seeing how my body works and how it doesn't, he used my husband's hands instead of his so I felt more comfortable. He also told jokes and reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and that he would not do anything I was uncomfortable with. We talked some more and he was intrigued and slightly concerned about my hip pain. I had leukemia as a teenager and he told me that chemotherapy at a young age can have an impact on my maturing joints. He wanted to check out how they looked so he ordered an x-ray. I went to go get my x-ray on a Thursday morning and by that afternoon he had my images and emailed my husband and I to come back in the following day. So, that next morning we were back in his office. Dr. Li had my x-ray up and started explaining what it was showing us. And, what it was showing us was a tumor in my right proximal femur. It was large and wearing away my bone. Dr. Li had a sarcoma expert at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance picked out for me along with a packet introducing him. Getting that news is heartbreaking, especially when you've had cancer before. Dr. Li was very kind and compassionate while delivering that news to my husband and I. We paused my visits until we knew what we were dealing with. My husband continued going. A couple of weeks later I was admitted to the hospital and there I had surgery to remove the tumor and etc. Dr. Li was continuously checking up on us. Fortunately, my tumor was benign. However, had Dr. Li not gone out of his way to order an x-ray while other doctors pushed my pain aside, the situation could've been a lot worse. The tumor was growing and expanding my bone. It was eating away parts of it, making it so fragile that a simple fall could've resulted in a break. To add on to that pain, that extra calcium that came from the break down of my bone was making me sick. Now, two weeks in to my recovery, I still have pain but it's a different kind of pain. It's healing pain and I have never been so grateful. I understand that this is a long review but I felt the need to stress that Dr. Li really cares about his patients and treats them as friends. He is as kind as he is compassionate and I would recommend him to anyone that asks. read more

Update 2/27/18: Dr. Li ordered an MRI for me when my back pain was so severe it took me to the ER. 2 doctors (prior to Dr. Li) looked at the MRI, and said "it's not great, but exercise etc. and you'll be fine." Dr. Li looked at it, and in the first 5 minutes said "You have a 5cm (2in) ovarian cyst." Dr. Li is the literal best and doesn't miss anything. He operates on a whole 'nother level. His office and amazing colleagues have done more for me in the past year than anyone else I've seen for my chronic pain. - - - tl;dr: Dr. Li is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He cares, deeply, for the well being of his patients. He takes all of your concerns seriously, and prioritizes the mental and physical health of his patients. He sets you up for success on all counts, but be prepared to *work* - Dr. Li will give you exercises and tips along with the more traditional chiropractic treatment, but it's up to you to put in the time on the road to recovery. - - - And here's the rest of the story: I've had a 'bad back' since I was 15 years old. I don't know what I did to it, but I remember the pain and spending two weeks crawling around the house. There is one thing I do know: It never healed properly. It would flare up, sometimes so bad that walking was difficult. Then I learned to run. Slowly but surely my back 'got better' - now I know what really happened. When I was exercising I rebuilt my core strength. Running and lifting helped compensate for the injury, but since it was never treated it continued to lurk there, right below the surface. Now I'm 30, and despite my strength and speed the injury is back. I was doing turkish get-ups with a light weight when I felt the twinge. Prior to that I tried crossfit, but every class was just another nail in the back coffin. Finally I said 'eff it and googled a doctor. I figured I'd get x-rays and find out I needed the surgery I'd been dreading my entire life. That's when I met Dr. Li. He spent an hour listening to me describe the pain, the original injury, and the random things I'd been doing to try and alleviate the pressure in my back and legs. That first session he didn't crack my back. He immediately isolated the injured disc (L5) and taught me several exercises to alleviate the pinched nerve. All of the 'forward bending' I'd been doing to relieve pain in my back was aggravating the injury. I learned that I couldn't avoid the pain. In fact, I had to confront it, physically and mentally, before it could heal. I am a large woman. I deadlift. I've built stone walls and swing kettlebells for fun. That day I cried. I cried because I was afraid. I was so afraid of the pain, and that it wasn't going to get better. I was terrified that I wasn't going to be able to walk one day. Lately the pain had gotten so much worse. I had a work trip coming up and I had to fly, and sit, and be present mentally and physically for extended periods of time. I cried in Dr. Li's office and he took the time to tell me it was all going to be okay. He delayed his next appointment until he made sure I was alright. He even had his office text me while I was traveling (right before I got on the plane) and again when I landed. In the sessions that followed, Dr. Li didn't just treat the injury, he taught me not to be afraid of my body. He taught me to learn to trust myself again. It's a long road to recovery, but I know with Dr. Li's help I'll be running Tough Mudders and lifting heavy again. read more

Quick summary - Dr. Li and Dr. Agcaoili saved me from spinal disc surgery and the life long side effects associated with it. I've had various issues over the past 7 years, and Dr Li has always done an amazing job. He provides immediate relief, identifies the underlying issue(s), and creates a plan to fix them. He listens, measures, and adjusts the plan at a level well beyond any experience I've had with other chiropractors or physical therapists. So what happened with my spinal disc and how did I avoid surgery? For months, I had noticed stiffness and pain in my lower back that came and went, but it had slowly gotten worse. I came back from a 5 day business trip, and thought the extra stiffness and pain was from sitting on a plane and in conference rooms for hours. A few days later, I had an ice hockey game at night. Before the game had even finished, my back had become so stiff that I knew it was something serious. I could barely reach down to untie my skates after the game, and by morning it took quite a few attempts to figure out how to even get out of bed and stand without locking up in pain. It was time to call Dr Li (well, probably months late at this point). Dr Li had a strong theory just from my description, but confirmed it quickly with a few tests. I had a badly ruptured spinal disc in my lower back. Most doctors would likely have sent me straight to surgery, and I would be dealing with the side effects the rest of my life. Luckily, Dr Li is not most doctors. Turns out, I was not sitting correctly for many years. I walked out of the office with the knowledge, exercises, and self-tests to stabilize my back while the rupture healed. I also learned how to sit correctly, with the initial advantage of my spine letting me know if I wasn't. Over the next 6 months Dr Li and Dr Agcaoili constantly tweaked the exercises and plan based on how I was progressing and my personal goal to get back on the ice. Dr Li gave me specific instructions on technique and what to try out as I started to ice skate again, eventually working my way up to playing a limited set of shifts in a game. A few months later, I was fine after playing almost an entire game without sitting on the bench (normally hockey players sit on the bench half the game or more). I've reached my goal of playing ice hockey again, and I'm much stronger and more stable than I can remember. I have the knowledge and tools to keep this issue permanently fixed. This is why I'm happy to make the drive to Dr. Li's office from Issaquah, and why I wholeheartedly recommend Mobility Plus Sports Rehab to anyone that wants to get better. read more

I have received conscientious, thorough analysis along with effective treatments and rehab while under the care of Dr. Li at Mobility Chiropractic and Massage clinic. His work has helped reverse the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome in my right arm which was causing pain, frustration and limited use of my hands. I also received immediate care for whiplash from Dr. Li after being hit in a fender bender this past summer. All functionality to my neck and back has been restored and the rehab work we are doing is continuing to strengthen weak muscles needed to support my core strength. I am an aging athlete and I love to play Badminton and Pickleball, But my knee had been bothering me so much I could not play for almost 3 months. Great doctors! Dr Ashley and Dr Michael expertly diagnosed what was causing my low back pain. They helped me retrain my bad posture and strengthen the muscles around the spinal area where I had very painful dysfunction. They gave me the info I needed to avoid future degeneration with good posture and stabilizing exercises.
