Papa johns has more flavor in their crust and sauce, which there is one of those in the same shopping center. I've been coming here for a while now. The build your own pizza concept is great, and the pizza tastes delicious. It sometimes does feel like pulling teeth to add a little more cheese & toppings to it though depending on the pizza maker. I'm not a fan of their new split stations, as I feel it takes slightly longer for in store guests to order, and focus has shifted to takeout orders. They also make you request Parmesan/red pepper now, which is irritating. My biggest pet peeve though is cleanliness, and in store cleanliness has gone down. On a recent visit the pizza topping station was a mess, tea was overflowing on the soda counter, and side plates to grab were dirty. The first time we went for the grand opening was great. Tonight we went and it was good pizza but the toppings were not evenly distributed at all. Some pieces so hardly any or none. We ordered a cinnamon dessert pizza too but they put garlic butter on it was gross so we threw 95% of it away. It was really good cinnamon pizza had it not tasted like garlic. First visit to MOD and everything started out great... until my sister took a bite of her salad and began felt something scratch her throat! Turns out it was a super sharp piece of parmesan rind. While not a huge deal, the staff at MOD were very concerned and helpful. They apologized immediately and refunded the cost of our meal. The customer service we received from Johnathan and Bri was so above and beyond that we will absolutely be visiting this location time after time. Good pizza, amazing service!! read more

Tried MOD for the first time today and it was great. Everyone I interacted with there was genuinely friendly. I asked about vegan options and both people up front at the time knew exactly what they had (the regular crusts are vegan, and they have Daiya cheese to substitute for regular). The place was clean and airy, with plenty of roomy benches and different seating areas. The ice in the machine comes out crushed tiny, Sonic-style, which I love. Music on the PA was a cool blend of alternative and hip hop. Overall I had a tasty, perfectly-sized pizza (it took about 5-7 minutes to bake) for the same price I'd pay for a smoothie elsewhere. First time to mod pizza...Came at a rush time on Sunday and was trying to corral my family, started ordering pizza cheese and sauce, but we got out of order... others in our party paying separately jumped ahead, confusion ensued... one of their managers was pushing back a bit saying they had the right orders-- somebody was yelling out not to skip the line- keep the line moving, I think this was to motivate their team- but really just seemed to add to confusion. Pizzas came out... most were fine, one came out exceptionally burnt see pic. My wife spoke to one of the managers about our experience and the burnt pizza. He came out and was apologetic offered to remake...manager seemed pretty cool until I noticed the employees having a laugh about us behind the counter when he returned -- Anyway the Remade Pizza had the wrong toppings. This was suggested by a co-worker one day at work last weekend. We all ordered a create your own online, and it was a quick and easy process. I ordered the normal crust with a lot of meats and a couple of veggies. They had a lot of options for meats, veggies, and everything else. For an 11 inch create your own pizza, the price was $8.52. We all were able to schedule an 11:30am pick-up, and one of my coworkers was able to pick them all up. According to him, they were all ready to be picked up by the time he got there and the staff was very helpful and friendly. First time here, saw a thing about the chain on YouTube. I showed up at the location in Prosper about 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday and the place was busy. Ordered a Jasper pizza from on of the friendly and personable staff. As she started making the pizza, she asked me if I wanted any other toppings. As I perused the various choices, I decided that I wanted mild sausage, some spinach and... anchovies on it. For me, having anchovies on my pizza is very nostalgic as it brings me back to when I was a kid living in Northern Italy and buying a slice of pizza with anchovies from a shop. The taste is in describable! Anyway, once the toppings were done, the pizza was put into the pizza oven and within ten minutes it was done! The overall quality was good, loved the thin crust that was not too crisp or burnt, the toppings were great. The pizza is 11" and they slice it up into quarters. It's very filling for a single person, I recommend getting two if you're with someone. It's like Pie Five but the flavor is much much better and the service and the people who work here are way more better! Oh yeah, you pay just a single price even if you want more toppings!! I loved it. I recommend MOD Pizza, just wish they had one closer to my home, but until then, I'll make the drive to Prosper. read more

They started my salad, worked my salad until they got to the vegetables, they pushed my bowl to the side, told me they would get back to my salad after they helped the people behind me first. They had the people behind me move in front of me and they told me that pizzas had priority over my salad and would get back to me after they make the pizzas for the customers that came in after me. I am a fan of the build-your-own-pizza concept, and my favorite in the area has been Blaze Pizza in Frisco. This place is much closer, and it is awesome! The soft opening was super busy, but everyone know what they were doing, and the service was fast and very friendly! There are pizzas, pizza salads, salads, some appetizers, and to-die-for no name cakes that are homemade ding dong-type desserts. So good! They have lots of choices for how you can build your pizza, but they also have quite a few pizzas that they have designed that all look awesome. I am a fan of how they seem to be very community minded and support both local and national nom-profits. Definitely will be on our list of go-to places for sure! read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I'd highly recommend skipping this location. Went in on a Friday night around 5:30 pm. The ordering took forever - very slow. The young lady building the pizzas didn't talk, didn't engage, and basically was mute. Not to mention the ingredients were scarce both in the bins and on the pizza. Now to the cooking/boxing and eating. It took 30 MINUTES to get our pizza after it was put into the oven. It wasn't because of cooking. It sat there on the counter while the pizzas continued to stack up with online/phone orders and in-house customers. As they continued to stack up, the guy (I think he was the manager) just kept stacking boxes of pizzas without tickets and acting royally confused. Needless to say the orders were mixed up and there was a line of about 7-8 in house customers growing impatient and angry. The "manager" had AirPods in and was having a conversation/argument with some third party the entire time. As customers (including me) approached him to ask, he simply would say, and repeat, "we will get to it when we get to it...". TERRIBLE. When another guy was instructed to help out, he had no clue what type of system was in place because the main guy had royally screwed it up. As I observed this, I noticed my pizzas were sitting there (and wings) and I told the guy which were mine trying to help out. I was promptly met with "we are doing our best..." Finally, I went to grab the pizzas because they were cold at this point. As I went to grab them, the guy gave me a dirty look and I told him either hand me those pizzas now or I'm grabbing them and that I had been waiting 30 minutes. Finally, he handed them to me. As far as quality, TERRIBLE. COLD. BURNT. Just not very good. As I was leaving, I talked to another guy who said he had been waiting 40 minutes and was missing his child's event. AVOID. They don't care about their customers and only care about themselves (e.g., talking on phone/arguing on phone). Just tone deaf. Also, I failed to mention they care more about their online orders than in-person customers. Doesn't matter if you've been there for an hour and an online order is 10 minutes old. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed, angry and just flat out irritated as this place. read more

Full trash cans and dish bins, dirty tables, staff that couldn't care less that they gave my pizza to the wrong customer. Remade pizza was practically burnt and on a cracker crust. The staff behind the counter can barely hear anything. Maybe they should turn the music down a bit so they can hear. It's a pizza place not a bar after all. The floor was probably only slightly cleaner than a college bar. It's as if this place got slammed tonight but when I was there I only saw about 5 other tables. I love MOD Pizza. I have had only one issue with this one particular location. Not exactly sure what happened, but my pizza took longer than the person I was with and the sauce was different. If a mistake was made, that is fine, just own it, instead of saying "I am not sure what is going on sir". I wasn't really mad about it because all of the toppings were right, the sauce was wrong though. The manager did her best to rectify the situation. So I applaud her efforts.
