The place has a very cool atmosphere but the food is just okay. The customer service is what urged me to log back on to help after so long and give 2/5 I would give it a 1/5 but they have glass bottle soda and a cool vibe. If you're a fan of super thin, crisp, bubbled crust with just the right amount of char, you will be really impressed. If not, then stay away. The best part is that you can pick your toppings like an omelet station. You just walk down the line, pick your sauce pick your toppings and pick your drink. You pay, wait 5 minutes and Viola! your pizza is done to perfection! We walked in for the first time and almost didn't stay because they had head banging music on really loud. But the owner turned it down so that we could have a conversation. Once he did that it was a pleasant experience for a casual fast food pizza place. Disappointing. Blast Pizza just across the street is much more flavorful and the staff far more attentive. At MOD we waited in line almost 20 minutes just to have three very uninterested teenagers barely acknowledge us and shuffle us along. Not a fan. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Mod since they started their location in Rocklin and have introduced countless people to the spot, whom also became loyal customers. Our favorite part of Mod was their great customer service, friendly staff, willingness to please their customer, and their quality ingredients. However the last two time's we've visited, we were REALLY DISAPPOINTED! Apparently they have a new manager who has changed much of what we loved most about MOD. The customer service has gone down, the employees seem miserable and lack friendliness, and the last two times I've placed orders for my favorite items, I've been told "we have a new manager and can't do that anymore." This is not only confusing since the whole basis of the restaurant is being creative and customizing your order, but also SUPER DISAPPOINTING since this was one of our favorite attributes about the restaurant! This has been one of my family's favorite spots to eat, and unfortunately if we have another experience like the last two, it will be our last! read more

I had a terrible experience here. I ordered the CALEXICO pizza and it was terrible. Management sent me a gift card to give them another chance. I have gone back twice and built my own pizza and have been satisfied. I appreciate management reaching out to me. Their customer service is great. I recommend this place, just don't order the Calexico pizza. read more

The pizza was made okay. I like the Arden location better. Your pizza is made crispier instead of it being soggy after you get it.

Decent pizza, very similar to Blast only more expensive. Biggest difference is the service. Mod staff is unwelcoming, impatient, and very unfriendly. I will not return. There are too many other quality local options. read more

I feel like their customer service quality has declined since it opened. I first started going to this location shortly after they opened and always loved talking with the employees while they made my pizza. It was nice that they engaged with you instead of just silently standing there waiting to hear what the next ingredient to add will be. Since then though, the place has lost it's touch in that sense. The employees never return my greeting of asking how their day went back and many times I feel like they come off as if they're having a bad day, genuinely don't want to be there or are busy stocking/prepping to give a simple, "Hey thanks for comin' in, be right with you!" I agree with a previous post that said customer service can really make or break business, thanks for the good pizza but not sure I'd recommend this location to a friend. read more

Worst experience at MOD. I came in with my three year old to get two minis to go. There was only one person ahead of me getting one salad & one pizza. The person ahead and my pizzas were both done before we even paid. After paying, we walked over to the pickup area. Saw my pizzas just sitting there and ask the guy bringing pizzas over if he could box my pizzas up so I could leave. Nope. He thought filling the BBQ sauce bottle and putting empty pizza boxes on the counter were more important. Finally boxed my cold (and burnt) pizzas FIFTEEN minutes later after I requested three more times. I asked if we were expected to eat these cold and burnt pizzas. He said he could remake, but line was out the door and I had to get home. Didn't want to wait another 15+ more minutes with my kid. Pizza was gross and cold. Manager gave me two free pizzas for next time but should have refunded me the $15 I paid because I don't want to come back. read more

Visiting from Texas and LOVED the MOD EXPERIENCE. Great pizza and salads, incredibly nice staff, clean - spacious and inviting dine in experience. The create your own pizza concept along with the crispy crust was a WINNER! I wIll be visiting again soon and definitely plan a return visit to MOD.
