When I got my 2000 Lexus RX300 serviced at the dealership, it identifed a number of issues (flush brake fluid, service rear & front differential, power steering flush, valve cover gasket, change engine and cabin filters, fix transmission pan leak, etc). The estimate was close to $6000. I then requested an estimate from Model Garage. It was closer to $2000. These guys are absolutely incredible. I had my transmission blow the night before Thanksgiving and I towed it here (recommendation from a coworker). These guys were able to look at my car the net week, tell me it was my transmission, looked for reasonable transmissions for me and were honest and told me it would be a waste of my money. They let me keep my car there until I got my situation figured out, even looked up buyers for me, then donation places. I am never taking my cars anywhere else and neither will my family. I have had bad luck in the past especially with the dealerships - (stay clear from BMW Bellevue) and wasn't even looking for a new garage to take all of our cars to. So I freaked out the other day! My car acted up on the freeway. Took it over to Price Brothers Garage in Kirkland. Said it was an emergency. They said they couldn't look at it for 5 days!!! Agh.... so I called a friend who recommended Model Garage in Fall City. I was impressed with their timeliness, got my car looked at right away. My car broke down on a day trip to the falls. I had it towed to this garage on recommendation of the tow company posted at the establishment at which I happened to pull in during breakdown. Left my keys in the dropbox with my (incorrect and expensive) guess of what was wrong. Model Garage notified me the next day that it was a much more minor and less costly issue. 2 days after Sunday breakdown I've got my car back and my bank account didn't suffer too much. These guys are great! They seem to truly care about their customers and just as important, they get the job done and they get it done at a fair price. My last car needed a ton of work, more than it was worth. They had already replaced a major part and I decided not to get the work done. Instead of charging me full price, they only charged me for the part itself. I had to leave the car there for quite some time, over a month while I figured out what to do with it. They're the best!" It's my sincere hope that Model Garage will continue to prosper because they're super honest and always treat their customers well. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and in 24 years, have seen nothing but good and honest work from them. It's so wonderful to find a car repair place you can trust!!!! These guys are awesome! My car was making a nasty noise, I was hoping it was just overdue for an oil change, but had plans to go over Stephens Pass that weekend and wanted to be sure it was okay. When I called for an appointment they said they were booked but when I told them I just wanted to be sure I could travel the pass safely, they said to bring it right in and made room for us. Turns out that my timing belt and tensioner had gone bad...a big bad problem!!! The thing that is so awesome about them is that they told me that it should still be under warranty and that I should take it to the Honda Dealer for repair. They didn't even charge me for diagnostics which took them an hour and a half!!! They could have not told me about the warranty and earned several thousand dollars repairing my engine. I took it to Honda and they replace the whole thing for free because it was under the power train warranty. Model Garage is an ethical and caring business and I trust my family and our cars to them. I hope they get all the business they can handle, because they do work excellently and don't try to rip anyone off. I definitely recommend them wholeheartedly.
