I will no longer be going to Model Nail Salon - Provo My last visit, the man who did my pedicure was incredibly rude and I was over charged but they insisted it was the charge. My sister went there last week with my niece and had an even worse expirence their with the staff. She can tell her own story. Please do not go to Model Nail. Since they have been under this management with new people, their service and people skills has become terrible and prices are too high for the service they give. read more

Came in today with my best friend and had An amazing experience. We made an appointment, we still had a little wait but it gave us time to look at colors. Faculties were clean and the techs were great. Tammy is phenomenal. She took the time to really care for my toes. I left feeling like a while new person. Even gave us sushi recommendations locally. I have been having Brandon, at Model Nails do my nails, for years, and I mean years. I have always liked the way that he has done my them, usually not wanting anyone else. I'm not really sure where he gets his arrogance, or disrespect, but there have been only times that I have gone in for my appointment, and he will say he needs to finish this other person first. I understand that there are times when we all run late, but there have been times that, I swear it was someone that had just walked in the door, minutes before I got there. I know they take walk ins, but I always make an appointment, and yet there are always 3 or 4 friends, or family members, that just walk in, and expect them, all to be done right that minute. Apparently, your loyalty, doesn't mean anything, because you can be shoved to the side and wait, while these 3 other ladies get done first. My appointment was for 4:00 yesterday, and he was still doing the other lady at 4:50, so I got up and left, never returning to any of their shops. Maybe that is the secret, you don't become a loyal customer, just walk in, pick out a person you like at a couple of different places, so if they can't do you right now, just leave, and always remember, You are the Customer! read more

I was hopeful, but this was one of the worst mani/pedi I've had. I get pedicures regularly where I live. I went for a girls' day. We made an appointment for all 4 of us. The people there were tremendously kind, but that was where the good stopped. My heals get very cracked and calloused. I was so busy visiting with the girls and came with an expectation based on my experience at my usual salon that I just didn't pay attention to the job the tech was doing. He worked on my heels, but when I got home and looked at them, it was as if nothing was done. They were still almost exactly as bad as when I went in. I think all he did was a simple basic rub and stopped there. My manicure was sloppy. I paid extra to get gel. I had gel all over my cuticles, the sides and tips of my fingers, etc. The design's were so unmatched from Left to Right hand (just a simple rainbow- one was straight lines, the other curved). She had a picture to work on that showed two fingers in white on each hand (the ones with the rainbows). She ignored that and made all of them the same base color. It didn't look bad with them all the same, so I just let it go. It wasn't worth redoing. So I own the decision on that one, but it was made for me rather than go by the picture I gave her. We spent the next 24 hours getting the gel polish off the skin portions and then it was fine, but we shouldn't have had to do that. My daughter had gold glitter nail polish all over her hands. One of the others with us was only doing a manicure. She sat at the manicure counter the entire time we were doing our pedicures WAITING and she arrived well before the rest of us. She finally got her manicure when we were all finished. Another also had rainbows. On one hand the rainbows faced each other, on the other hand they went the same direction. The attention to detail is severely lacking here. We paid almost $300 for everything but were just so ready to just leave we decided to not argue to fix it all. The tech tried 4 times on my design alone. How hard is it to draw a rainbow. I should have trusted the 3 star rating and requested a different location. But if you want great conversation and friendliness from the staff...this place rocks for that. read more

Went in for a fill had 50 mins on my lunch break. I've been getting my nails done for years, 50 mins should be plenty of time. While she was shaping my nails I realized that it wS going way too slow. I asked her to please stop shaping them and just to put polish on them as I had a meeting to get to. She refused. She kept shaping them, I asked her to stop two more times and she told me I would have to be late to work. So, I paid the full price and left with unpainted nails that weren't even shaped well. Well, now it's four days later and three nails have broken off. I went in to have it fixed and they told me I would have to make an appointment. Awful awful awful experience. Will not be going back to have them fixed. I will be going somewhere else, and go through another day of work with awful looking nails. read more

I took my 5 year old daughter in to get her nails done, and they were playing pornographic music videos on the giant tv. barely dressed girls in g strings dancing and humping shirtless men- with obscene lyrics. I asked them to turn the channel. She said "it's fine, it's just this song". I asked her again to please turn it as it was completely unprofessional and totally inappropriate to be playing. I don't get my nails done often (only a handful of times in my quarter century) but they got my sister and me in rather quickly on short notice and listened to what we wanted. Model Nail is great. I had an impeccable manicure today for $12. Last time I was in, I left one of my favorite nail polishes in the salon. I came back two weeks later and they not only remembered me, they had saved my nail polish for when I came back. Not all of the workers speak English, but the quality of their work makes up for it. They have flat screens a-plenty and also offer waxing, feather extensions, and glitter toes. They also do a mean shellac manicure for only $20. read more
