We were walk ins as we just happened to be in the area. My toddler son was in desperate need of a cut. The barber was perfect with him. We'd never had our son just sit there and get his hair cut. Any other time had been pure chaos. For whatever reason he was perfectly calm. The place is very throwback but modern. I sat down and got the beard trimmed up and wasn't disappointed. All around great barber shop! I made an appointment and got my hair cut and styled here for the first time this week and the shop had a great atmosphere. The barber listened to me and understood what I wanted and cut my hair accordingly. After the cut he shaved my neck with a straight razor and then used a nice hot towel, I opted to get my hair shampooed after just because I had plans afterwards. This was my third visit to this barber. Previously, my experiences were excellent. However, on this trip, it was not pleasant. I called 2:19 PM and asked about a haircut. I was told that there was a barber handling walkins, who had someone in the chair, but he would be done soon, and then I would be next. So I drove over and took a place in the waiting room, after briefly talking to the barber on duty. At 3:00, having seen other customer come and go, and with no suggestion that there would be a place for me in the next hour or so, I left. The barber didn't even notice. So my review is that if you are a walkin, good luck, you'll need it. read more

I've been going to Jerry since before Modern Barbarian was Modern Barbarian. Jerry is an extremely conscientious barber who GETS it. Takes his time and doesn't push more than what you want or ask for. They understand that time matters, so scheduling an appointment and actually getting in at the time of the appointment has made my life a dream.
