Yes, it's good. you've probably had it, but never knew it. they sell their cheese in bulk to food service providers, restaurants, and other retail brands that package and sell the cheese under their own names It's a great place. Everything from souvenirs, to snacks, wines, jams, Peet's coffee, they have a small café, and of course, cheese, cheese, and even more cheese. They do offer tours, but they are limited. However, you can ask somebody from the register, to come over and turn on the "Moo-vie." hosted by a cartoon cow, it covers the cheese, making process from farm, forward. Yes, it's a little "cheesy", (pun intended) but it's cute, and it's interesting. There are pictures throughout the visitor center, and they also have a small area upstairs, that also talks about the cheese making process, and you can look down into the factory. As I mentioned, there are lots of cheeses for sale. They also have samples. They have "squeakers" which is what they call their cheese, curds, many different varieties of their cheeses, and other gourmet cheeses from other companies. I bought a small apple, walnut, smoked cheddar, which was very flavorful, and then I also decided to take a gamble, and got a 1 pound block of Hilmar habanero pepper jack cheese. The 1 pound block of cheese cost under seven bucks. Extremely reasonable for such a good quality cheese. Yes, it definitely packs a punch, (hey, it's habanero....) but the creaminess of the cheese helps, mellow out the habanero a bit. You can also cook with it, like a cheeseburger, or scrambled eggs, etc.... And that also helps mellow out the habanero. it is definitely toward the higher end of what I like for in spicy, but it is definitely good. At the café, they actually sell a cheese chowder, which is supposed to be excellent. I don't think my poor system could've handled it, so instead, I got one of their grilled cheese sandwiches, the zesty tomato, which was Monterey Jack, sun-dried, tomato, tomato, basil pesto, on sourdough bread. Yes, still rich, but the tomato help helped cut the richness. The only reason I'm taking off a half star, was because the bread was a bit overdone on the sandwich. Not enough that I had them redo it, but I could definitely taste it a little bit. The amazing taste of the sandwich. Helped take away the overdone taste of the bread. My boyfriend and…read moreI arrived at around 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon after father's day weekend with no reservations and there were about 5-7 available spots and more spots as the sun was setting. Many people who were not sleeping over left at around sun down. Upon arriving, the park ranger helped us find the campground and informed us of different campsites that were available. We paid $25 for our campsite (#14) and that included the site and one car. We paid an additional $8 for the second car. Our site included a picnic table and a grill (propane or charcoal only). What's really neat about this site is that their bathrooms are clean. They have a women, gender neutral, and men bathroom. The women and men's restroom came with a toilet, sink, and shower. The gender neutral restroom came with a toilet and sink. It was incredibly convenient and nice to use! The site itself doesn't have much to offer. If you're looking for scenic hikes, this is not the place to come to. Bagby sits right on Lake McClure and many families were in there with life jackets, speedboating, and doing all sorts of fun water activities! This is a great place for alone time with each other or just bonding activities! Also, the stars are beautiful at night from where we settled. We were able to locate the Big Dipper and my boyfriend was able to geek out with his constellation knowledge, haha! There is no service here at all, so if you need to contact anyone or do anything work related, I do not recommend. Service cuts in and out on the way to the campground as well-- so if you're traveling in a group/pack, be sure to be following each their closely!

The campground itself is both RV and tent camping. It's right on the lake so it's really pretty. Not too crowded, the atmosphere is pretty chill and peaceful...except when the birds start cawing at 4am. I actually call them "monkey" birds because they sound like chimps. It was really really annoying. I wanted to shoot them all down. Also, I think sounds carry here, because I could hear people snoring from 4 sites down. We got a campsite that's basically on gravel which is not too nice to sleep on if you don't have an airbed. I would have liked a more woodsy site. There's only one bathroom/shower which is layed out kind of strangely, plus the lock was broken, so basically anyone could just walk in & see you on the can. They also don't allow campfires so that was kind of a bummer. But they have picnic tables and a grill at most sites. Fees were reasonable. Overall, it was an ok campsite. Pretty, but would have liked a campfire and better bathrooms.

Hilda plans trips that are exciting and fun whether your a new or an experienced traveler. One of my favorite trips in all of my life has been to the Dominican Republic with her. In this trip, we lived in treehouses (literally), rode horses through the jungle, hiked to an amazing waterfall, rode quads on an empty and gorgeous beach, took a boat ride to a private island, and zip lined through a jungle just to name a few of the activities. She's an excellent travel planner, organizer, and wonderful person to be around. She does a great job at creating a welcoming environment for everyone on the group trip and on both of my experiences, I left each trip with new friendships that I still have today. I can't say enough amazing things about my experiences in these two trips and I'm excited for my next trip with her to Madagascar! I am an experienced traveler who loves to take adventurous vacation where I get to really explore the place I visit and these two trips with Hilda have exceeded my expectations of group trips. The whole nine yarts?…read more I connect to here using Amtrak or Greyhound (usually the latter) at "The Bus", and these local buses will take you to the park or anywhere in the greater Merced area, so it's a great service for those that come to Yosemite without cars, which is a bad idea if you ask me, but this eases the annoyance for sure. You can catch these all over town (like colds, or corona), and you can get into town initially using trains or dog buses. Merced Transportation Center is where you'll catch the Greyhound buses in Merced. It's known as "The Bus", not really sure why. It used to be a Southern Pacific Railway Station for Greyhound getting to Sacramento, to the Bay Area and Los Angeles. And also you can get to Yosemite from here. It's in the heart of Merced and is small and does a good service for the buses and the trains. Right by the little old Spanish looking house, which is very Cali, so it works perfectly.
