Let me start off by saying I am a big time clean freak, one of the main reasons I've been going to Modern Nails for as long as I have is because the salon is always well kept and the staff makes sure to use a freshly sanitized tool set before each customer (Ive gone to a dozen other shops before Modern and some places are truly disgusting) I've never gone into the shop and had a bad experience with anyone I've gone to, but I like to stick with Lieu; she's an angel that can do damn near anything you're looking for. Her work is always crisp and gorgeous. (Along with my perfect eyebrows that she's reshaped for me after a terrible experience at a different salon.) I recommend you call before walking in because the shop is always busy;to me that's a great sign. This is the best nail salon I have ever been too. Its not about how the building looks or the parking.... its about the quality of the product. I have seen every nail tech here and I have never been disappointed. People can not expect to walk in and be catered to, that's why appointments are highly recommended!!! Lieu and Twan (owners) are such amazing people and they are running a fabulous business. Since I have been coming here I never think twice about wanting to go somewhere else. If something is not to my liking I just simply mention it and they have no problem fixing it. This is hands down the best nail salon I have ever come too. This is the best place in town. I had been coming here about two years and I moved away 15 miles. I looked everywhere closer to my house for a place to get my nails done. I tried at least six places and was miserable. So now every other week I make the longer drive and get my nails done by Ronnie, or another tech if he's not available Ronnie has done a beautiful job on my nails for the last four years. They honor the two week quality guarantee They also provide a multitude of services They're very welcoming and the atmosphere is friendly. Everyone that works there gets along with each other and it makes it a very pleasant experience. Been coming to Modern Nail for a year now! The owners are awesome, funny and very welcoming! I always go with Twan (owner) for my nails! Lieu always does an awesome job with the nail designs! Such patience! I always recommend my friends and family. My sister got her nails done for the first time, for her sweet 16 and she's loving it! She came back for fills and a new color with design and was so impressed with Lieu's free hand design! She loved it and was showing eveyone including guys, as if they cared! I won't go anywhere else. Every time I go in this salon it is clean and everyone is courteous. I feel at home at this salon as we talk about the latest gossip and life. If you are looking for a salon that listens to what you want this is the salon to go to. I wish there was more than 5 stars to give to this place. On a side note they "warranty" their shellac. If it chips in less than the 2 weeks they will fix it for free. Their shellac is pretty durable and I haven't had any problems with it peeling or chipping. This is the BEST nail salon I've ever been to! Every time I go I see Lieu and she takes her time & does an AMAZING job on the designs! She exceeds my expectations and always ends up looks better than the pictures I show her. It's definitely worth the wait and the drive since now I drive from Houston to San Antonio just to get my nails done and drive back home the same day. The BEST place I have ever gone.I cannot complain at all! I have been going to them since they opened their business and even before then. I cannot go anywhere else. This is my Absolute favorite place to get the best service around. The staff at Modern Nail is always so nice, welcoming, courteous, & professional. Making appointments is the best way to ensure you get the nail tech you prefer, however they are always great about assisting with last minute appointments & walk ins! This is a nice little nail salon. It's very clean, they pulled a sterile kit for my manicure and they only use files and buffers once, as any good nail place should. They offered water when I came in and wine with the Pedi. It's also not to expensive unless of course you upgrade everything. You could also tell they have a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. It's not in the best location but don't write it off just because of that :) read more

I have been going to Modern Nails for the last... 3yrs. I am very pleased with the job Lieu and Twan (the owners) do. Lieu does amazing designs, she can do pretty much anything! They have over 1000 color options to chose from. However, if you want Lieu and Twan to do your nails you should make an appointment OR be prepared to wait a long time because they have a pretty big client base. Not only do they guarantee their nails, they have a million different colors to choose from (polish, shellac and powders). I love this nail solan. They know me by name and treat me very well. I had walked in a couple of years ago out of the blue and it has been the best decision. They treat my nails with care and that is one of the things I look for. Most places are rough on my cuticles and cause a tiny bleed. I know I can always count on the people here to do it right. I go here religiously every two weeks for a shellac gel nail. (not because it wears off but because I want a new color ) I love the huge variety of gel nail polish they have and hands down the lady can do whatever design you want.
