If there were no stars, I'd go 0/5. In the last 3 weeks, new owners have taken over. I don't know what this place was like before.
My friend and I went here today for bikini waxes. As she'd never had one before, she went first. She came out 40+ minutes later saying it was really painful and she hated it. I took this with a grain of salt, because it is painful but wondered why it took so long. I went too as the the wonderful, experienced, quick, communicative beautician I used to go to has retired. It didn't help either of our confidence or pride when that when the woman who'd done it, walked out, wiped her brow, sat down and said something in another language that made the other staff laugh. Then it was my turn. I'm old hat at this and I don't enjoy it. No one does. But having the beautician try time and time again to pull the wax off when it wasn't ready, refusing to tell me when she was going to do it, after I asked politely several times if she could (I was scared of reprisals!) it took 45 minutes and was more painful than usual because it took so long, she'd rip the wax strips off in 4-6 tries and kept saying "this is hard for me" to which I finally said "not as hard as it is for me". When it was over, she made the other staff laugh again. Humiliated and angry we left. Both of us have wax all over us still. For $5 dollars less than most other places ($40 each) it is not in anyway worth it. read more
