Quality Alterations was able to accommodate a bridesmaid dress alteration (hemming) with a week's…read morenotice, during prom dress season no less. The work looked perfect and was completed on time. Alterations are expensive, and Quality is not the cheapest option in Knoxville; the simple hem job cost $50. I wasn't told the cost up front (and didn't ask because it wouldn't have mattered), so you'll need to ask if price is a concern. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when I went to pick up, one lady was pinning up a dress for a customer but never greeted me or told me someone would be helping me soon. I stood for over 5 minutes before another lady came out, and she immediately helped the lady who had come in behind me instead of asking who was next (it should have been clear that we were in a queue). The other customer apologized to me (I didn't complain because I wasn't in a rush), but the employee never said anything to me except to tell me the total when she rang up my ticket. They did great work, but they weren't all that friendly or attentive. If that matters to you, this might not be the place for you.

Luckily, I found Northshore Alterations right across the street from the Food City in Bearden and they were excellent. The owner measured, and pinned all of my pants and got to the alterations quickly and did an excellent job. I had lost my previous alterations store so to a move out of state and was thrilled to find Northshore Alterations. They have dozens of different colors of thread to match your item perfectly and she was very pleasant to deal with and the alterations were done when expected.
