Came to houston on business and wanted to get a cut from one of the best. Great shop. I enjoyed laughing and hanging out with the other clients and barbers. Typical barbershop talk and atmosphere. I rate it 3 stars b/c I made a 1pm appointment the day before, arrived at 12:40pm, but Moe didnt arrive until 1:40. By that time, I had already asked the other barber to just give me a line-up because i had another appointment in the city. I appreciate that Moe was still courteous enough to tell me he still appreciated me for coming. That was 1st class and 5 star within itself. When I visit the city again I will give him another try. First of all, I came to this place because of all the good ratings. 1) it has 5 stars. 2) it shows the prices are low. 3) reviews say they can do any type of hairs. 4) it's closer than my usual barber shop. I had a hard time finding the place because the sign doesn't says "Moe The Barber", ok whateva. I was seated by walk-in by a barber who wasn't Moe. Next, I've asked for simple instructions on how I want my hair to be cut. My dry, thick hair was getting cut as if I was African-American. He didn't moist it to help it from being puffy, but was cut like a bush. After all is done, I was left with an oval-shaped head, my back swirl was clipped, top front side was bulgy; I looked like Johnny Bravo. I've told the barber that he removed my swirl and trimmed too high on the back side. After I've instructed how to fix my bulginess because I had to make it flexible to change my style or modify it at home, I stayed relax cuz I can PROBABLY get it fixed somewhere else. I've asked for the price ( leaving with an oval-shaped and less bulged) I was charged $20+tip. For a Hispanic with dry, thick hair, this is not the place to go, so you're better off looking for another place. Now, my review is being attacked by an "apparent" employee and I want to make it clear that it's sad to see a honest review getting reported to false claim when, evidently, my presence can be proven.
