This was my first time at Moe's in Azle,Tx . I went to breakfast with some friends after a long weekend of plant ceremonies. The atmosphere was nice and laid-back, the service was pretty decent. The food hit the spot. I had chorizo and eggs that came with some Home fries as well. The home fries were the best I've ever had. I asked the waitress if they've been marinated in something she said that they just cooked them in beef tallow and added some seasoning. They were so delicious. Moe's is down home dining. I used to come here fairly frequently but it is hit or miss. It has three fairly large dining areas and is good for groups up to about 15 or even more. We came today with a group of 8 family members. Of course they were busy on a Sunday morning, but Diana, the server was very friendly. We all ordered our drinks and food. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner specials listed on white boards. The food came out bits at a time and still managed to be ice cold. The pancakes and French toast wouldn't melt the butter and the hash browns were raw. The eggs were cold also. Like I said, hit or miss here. Today just wasn't our day. First time visit June 2026. Service was good. Ordered coffee, biscuits, gravy and bacon. The biscuits and gravy were good. I did ask for the gravy to come hot and it came lukewarm which I kind of find disgusting but I was hungry so I ate it. I would definitely eat the biscuits and gravy again I would just make sure to tell them AGAIN that I want the gravy to be hot. Bacon was pre-cooked so it was served at room temp.. not hot nor cold. I think the biggest thing that threw me off was the coffee tasted really weird, It didn't taste like coffee or it was very watered down. I don't really know what it was. I took a couple of sips and did not drink anymore and I love coffee so that was a bitter disappointment. I don't know that I would some back here. if I'm not sure I usually try a restaurant at second time, but I don't think that I would. I think that there's other places that are significantly better. The people were nice though. My expectation is that when I pay for hot food, I want my plate to come hot. I want everything to be hot That's supposed to be. read more

There is nothing better out there than their waffles with pecans added into the batch and also tossed on top and their coffee is always brewing. It's time for everyone to head north of Fort Worth, an experience of areally nice Texan five star quality of life. It doesn't hurt to have Eagle Mountain Lake in your backyard so come on out to tour Azle Texas! Honestly with one of the best school districts in Texas. If you have not toured the Azle, WISD district and the opportunities and classes that they offer for career minded go getting children then you're failing your kids. Great local place for ANY meal! We had breakfast and it was fabulous. Lisa was the hostess and I wish I could remember the name of our waitress. We both had a fantastic breakfast and I swear the biscuit was 3 " thick! The sausage gravy was fresh and tasty and I would have eaten it all had I not been full from two eggs, fresh cut fruit salad and thick slices of bacon. I really wanted to try the 20k bacon. Dipped in pancake battter, deep fried and served with syrup. The coffee was fresh and strong. I'd love to go back for lunch and dinner. We happened to be in the area and wanted something new that wasn't part of a chain. What a gem of a restaurant! There was ample parking, including a few spots for those using assistive devices. Once inside it's a feast for the senses with dessert displays, souvenirs available for purchase and an ample waiting area. The staff greeted us and quickly noted the need for my wife who was walking with the aid of a scooter. Once we were seated in a spacious area, the hostess made sure the table was clean and happily took our drink order. Our waitress was amazingly attentive as well and very helpful with menu suggestions. The plates were full and I knew immediately that we would need ToGo boxes. I highly recommend the sausage patties; just enough zing to wake up those taste buds! The home fries were just the way I would've made them, with green peppers and onions. The sausage links were much bigger than I had anticipated and cooked to perfection. I just had to complete the breakfast order with grits with butter and a touch of salt. While I would've preferred Pepsi, Coca Cola was just what was needed to wash it all down. We will DEFINITELY return. Quick tip: save the credit card merchant fee by paying in cash. read more

It is the best of the regular American fair in Azle in our opinions. The bathrooms are a bit small but the food & service are great in our opinions. Ambiance is basic style. It's not an IHOP but then we also don't have to drive 25 or 30 minutes to get there either. read more

We have been here twice and it's just a cute local place with a hometown vibe. It's The staff is friendly and the food is your normal breakfast fair. Prices are reasonably and the food is always good. It seems to be a local favorite and if you don't arrive early enough on the weekends you'll have to wait for a table. This place is perfect for a southern style breakfast. Stacks of pancakes, Belgian waffles, eggs of all kinds, etc... the southern charm of the waitresses was also pretty great. I had a Belgium waffle and it appeared to have a "BW" on it, which makes me think this waffle maker is recycled from a best western. They also had Texas shaped Belgian waffles. I have to disclaim that this is an eating establishment with carpet, so if you're one of those people, avoid here. read more

We had a thoroughly unpleasant experience at this place yesterday. We arrived about 1:00 p.m.; after their lunch rush but still well before closing time at 3:00 p.m. The restaurant was about two thirds empty. No one was at the front. All the wait staff was seated, huddled around a table where they were rolling silverware into napkins. One young lady finally approached and seated us. She took our drink order. Then we waited several minutes for her to return. When she finally appeared and was about to walk past us, we signaled her and asked if we could order some onion rings for appetizers. She said, "I'll get your server." We had assumed that's who she was. Another young lady, the name on whose shirt was "Laci", came shortly to take our order. My wife specified that we'd like to go ahead and get some onion rings started as an appetizer. She asked if we were ready to order the rest of our meal, and we did. She then disappeared into the kitchen, but soon she reappeared and approached a table across the room where she apparently knew the people. She spent quite a bit of time chit chatting with them. After maybe fifteen minutes she arrived with our lunch plates. My wife asked, "Where are our onion rings?" She replied, "Oh, I forgot." I can't remember absolutely, but I don't believe she offered an apology, although she did offer to go and put the order in then. My wife replied, no, we wanted them as an appetizer, please just take them off of our ticket." She said, "Okay," and walked away. The food was mediocre a the very best, and that's probably being kind. My catfish was very average, as was the macaroni salad. The mashed potatoes were good. My wife said her chicken fried steak was tough. As we were finishing our meal, my wife wanted more water. Our server had not returned. She had spent more time visiting with the table across the room and then plopped down in a chair with the other servers. They were only seated fifteen feet from us, but try as I might I couldn't get the attention of any of them. Finally another server came by and I asked, "Will you please let Laci know we'd like some more water and a to-go box?". Laci brought both within a couple of minutes. When we rose to leave we walked directly past the table with the five or six servers seated. (We know they were servers because, as I said, they were all rolling silverware, and they all had on either yellow or green T-shirts.) Evidently none of them noticed us leaving, because no one came to the cash register to check us out. We decided to just wait until someone noticed. Within four or five minutes one of them did and came to the register. No acknowledgement that we'd been there waiting. We paid our bill and left. This place has several plaques on the wall behind the cash register: "Best Home-made Pies", "Best Breakfast In Azle", etc. Who knows, maybe they're resting on their laurels. However, in consideration of the very mundane food and, more importantly, the shoddy service we received, we'll probably never visit there again. read more
