This was first time eating here and i decided to order a calzone for my lunch break. The calzone was good so I cant deny that, however, I was thoroughly disgusted when I found a dead fly in my salad. I called them to ask if I could receive a refund for my order but they told they couldn't refund my meal since there was nothing wrong with the calzone and instead gave me the option for receiving 5 dollars in store credit. Service was atrocious. My food came out first and my wife had to wait and then ask for hers almost 20 minutes later. It was obvious they forgot and continued to make excuses. Our cheese sticks appetizer was also forgotten and when it was finally brought out they were the worst tasting I've ever had and tasted freezer burned. The staff was too busy horsing around and to focused on take orders to care about people in the restaurant. We will not be back and will encourage everyone we know in Wylie and Murphy to avoid this place at all costs. There are way better Italian places we have already tried in the area that have exemplary service and much better food. I suggest everyone avoid this place so we can drive it out of business and replace it with a business that cares about its customers and service. Wylie and Murphy deserve better than this place. Management is shitty. This is the first time I ordered from here for the first time and I received bad customer service. I gave the guy who answered the first time my number and friends name then he passed the phone to someone else. Then a girl named Melissa picked up and as soon as I gave her my number and friends name for her to pick up, Melissa immediately hung up on me without a word. I called back because my friend was already there and she didn't even apologize to me when I told her that I'm the one she hung up on, she dismissed it and took my order. Went in with my friend to get tiramisu dessert. The dining room was empty except for a teenager sitting on the side table watching his phone. I think his is one of the delivery drivers. Anyway, we waited at the cashier until a young lady came out and took our order. We ordered two tiramisu to enjoy inside. We sat at the one of the cleaner tables and waited for the order. Few minutes and the same young lady came holding two plates with tiramisu. Without saying a word she placed the two plates on the table and left. We thought she is going to bring the silverware because she brought the plates without silverware. After waiting few minutes I noticed that she was engaged in something else. I decided to call their number to get her attention. Luckily she answered the phone and asked if she could help me. I said Yes, can we get two spoons or forks. She was puzzled because she obviously didn't expect that kind of call. I said we are sitting inside and we didn't get silverware so can we get some? To our surprise she said oh there are right there in the back of the store and you need to get them! As senior citizens we never expected such a response. So my friend went to where she pointed and found some stained forks. He washed couple of them and came back to eat the tiramisu. Even though we know the owner who is a very kind man for many years that was our first time dining in Mogio's. I know he is going to read this and probably will laugh. But I hope he can teach the youngsters how to do a better job by dealing with customers with respect and good service. I gave 4 stars because I like the tiramisu. I am a regular customer of Mogio's since 2007, when I moved to a neighborhood nearby. I now live 15 minutes away but I still prefer to come to Mogio's for the pizza fix. Quality is always top-notch and the taste is best of all places we've been to. We had pizza, stromboli, calzone, chicken wings, salads, even desserts and Mogio's never failed our expectations. Ugh, what a waste of money! Do NOT pay more when delivery arrives. Don't be scammed! Pay what you are quoted over the phone. I originally called another Mogio's location to place my delivery order, but didn't hear the return call I got a moment later informing me "oops" they don't deliver to my house, until 40min later. Now it was really late and we were starving, so I called the suggested location to place another order. The girl who took my order was really sweet and answered my questions, including how many slices are in a large. I was told 14 slices were in a large. I ordered 1/2 pineapple, artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes with EXTRA cheese and 1/2 italian sausage, canadian bacon and EXTRA cheese. She repeated my order back to me, all was right. I let her know I had a coupon and she gave me my total, including discount - $15.79. Our young delivery boy arrived 45min later, as we expected, and it all went downhill from there. He told my husband the total was $19 something, when I noted our coupon and discount, he apologized, but said he didn't show that, even though my husband handed him the coupon. We should have stuck to our guns and made him work it out back at the "office", but didn't want to cheat him out of his tip just in case, so we ended up out of pocket $10 more than expected. Then we open the box to find the most pathetic pizza we've ever seen. * The pizza was not hot, it was barely warm. * We could not tell the crust from the cardboard it was sitting on. * There were 14 shapes cut, NOT 14 slices, leaving us both quite hungry once the pizza was done. * There was barely any noticeable cheese on the pizza, led alone EXTRA cheese. * I think a few sun dried tomatoes stumbled onto a slice here and there. * There was no telling any 1/2 and 1/2. They gave us free drinks being it was our first visit. Then Mogio came and talked with me asking how things were and if I wanted anything let him know. When we did need something the staff was right on it and very friendly doing so. The atmosphere was very pleasing. It has a quaint feel to it. An old world charm and a sophisticated class to such a small pizza joint. Not only are their ingredients super fresh, but that delicious crust and sauce are to die for! Delivery is prompt and the people who work there are professional and friendly. I'm on a diet, but when I get my cheat day, it's with Mogio's every time. The spaghetti and lasagna are delicious and you can tell the sauce is homemade. I also like their cheesesticks and desserts. We have ordered pizza from Mogios weekly since going gluten free (which is not cheap!!) but today their service was the worst and they would not make it right. We order on the SLICE app and after my order did not arrive I called the restaurant to let them know. They told me it would be there in a minute...they were in the area. 10 minutes later they called and said they were so sorry but they were on the way. When they arrived they had my large pizza turned into a small pizza with the toppings messed up. I told them I had ordered a small and a large pizza and they apologized and said it was messed up and I could get it next time for free. How am I supposed to feed my family with a small pizza instead of a large pizza?! I tried to get a refund through the app and the restaurant would only offer a $10.99 coupon for my next large pizza. So not only did it arrive late...I'm short pizza and money. We will take our business elsewhere if you can't be bothered to make it correct much less make the pizza correctly to begin with.
