I am really having a hard time with everyone getting my records wrong, and missing important details. It's very distressing. I had an appointment for an MRI, and the Lake Hav. Reg. Hosp called me a day before and were very concerned that I would show up, they called several times that week in fact. I live far away and when I got there I was told the appointment was canceled. No explanation, nothing. I was upset and confused and the admitting people got annoyed. Then I had another procedure that day, that was scheduled, but part of the procedure was not done. I went back to the hospital a week later to get records, waited over an hour to pick up the records and when I looked, the report was incorrect and said I had all the procedures done when in fact parts were not done. It was also not done correctly. I guess my complaint is more at the hospital - but there were also some things missed on an image that should have been found a year prior. I'm very upset at how things are run. I don't understand why the hospital could not have gotten the authorization faxed over - or told me what the problem was, I don't understand why things were missed over a year ago, or why the technician that did the report failed to tell the doctor she only did part. I just can't seem to get anywhere with solving what is wrong. I hope that next time I see Dr. Kazmi, that I can get things straightened out, but I just about don't care anymore. It's my experience that once something is in a computer system - good luck getting anything changed. It's really not his fault though, I do like him and think he's competent. It's just my bad luck. You have to make sure your notes are correct or how can the doctor make an accurate diagnosis? Even if there is an answer for the problems how can I trust it's correct?
