It was the nicest bris I've ever seen. Dr Roberts is also my OBGYN and delivered my son. I was extremely comfortable and happy that my doctor was going to do my son's Bris, it put me at total ease. As my doctor, Dr. Roberts provided exceptional care throughout my entire pregnancy and during the delivery of our baby. He truly made a signiticant impact on our experience. Dr Roberts is extra special to me and my whole family as he delivered me and my brother as well as my son and my brothers three children. He has been part of our family's most special moments for the past 36 years. I was able to count on Dr Roberts every step ot the way and that showed true when our baby was born at 3am to an emergency c-section, and Dr Roberts was there to deliver him. In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.

I told the staff the photo requirements from the Germany Ambassador website: the photo size should be 35x45mm, the head measures 30-36mm, the lighting condition even, background is medium grey. The staff said ok. Suddenly an old man who seems to be the boss run downstairs and shouted at me:"We are not gonna do that! We are never gonna do that!"I replied:"Why? These requirements are not hard to satisfy." He continued shouting at me:"We are never gonna do that! We can't do these requirements. We need to take 4 to 5 pictures and choose the right one, it doesn't worth 15$!" After saying that, he didn't even give me a second look and run upstairs. His attitude was extremely rude. I felt I was not treated as a customer, but a suspect interrogated by the police. These requirements are rigorous from the Germany ambassador website. They are straightforward and not difficult to meet. If the boss thinks it's not worth 15$, he can simply charge me more on that and we could negotiate on that. Why did he treat me so rudely and didn't want to speak any more words before expelling me from his noble store?

There was no major glitches and I have amazing photos to prove it! My sister just used them for her wedding also on 6/14/14 and they now offer a cinematography package that I highly recommend. You get classic, candid and artistic (couture like) shots. Ernie definitely knows what he is doing with keeping up with the modern flair of photography and still providing the elegant/ traditional style as well. My videographer did great and I was very happy with the final products. Def worth looking into for all your wedding photography needs.
