My first phone call with Dave reassured me that he was the one for the job. He was very friendly and laid-back. He was also incredibly helpful from what vendors he recommended to how to choose the ceremony time so the lighting would be just right in the Clock Tower on 16th street. We met Dave in April to do an engagement photo shoot and it gave us a really good opportunity to get to know him prior to our big day. We really enjoyed ourselves and were completely relaxed, which was reflected in the gorgeous and creative photos he took. Dave had already shot at the Clock Tower on other occasions, and this experience really helped us land some awesome shots of our wedding. He didn't miss any details. For example, at the end of the evening we all went outside to light wish lanterns to send off into the star lit sky. As everyone was putting on their coats to go outside, Heather suggested I go out without my coat because my dress would be covered. Well, Heather's suggestion led to one of our favorite photos: the two of us taken from behind as we released our lantern into the sky, looking upwards and still holding the lantern, and the back of my dress flowing into the snow in full view...highlighted by the glow of warm candlelight. The moment was captured beautifully and is now framed on our wall. Shelley and Josh maximize on capturing the event as it is naturally occurring. They were also able to maximize time spent because their ability to tag team, and weaved through the event seamlessly without disturbing any guests or ceremonies. Also, they are very comfortable people to be around, which sounds silly but makes a world of difference on the most stressful day. The commitment and creativity I observed while they shoot the wedding was unbelievable. They have several camera's and lenses, which they often switched for certain photo's, they were always aware of the lighting and best places to photograph (and take excellent outdoor photo's). The value and quality we received is unbeatable, especially being able to access all the photos! She would sometimes be laying on the ground and get completely soaked by the waterfalls, and she would have us stand so close to the edge of a cliff and so close to the waterfalls. Another bonus is that she scouts the wedding ceremony area for you beforehand and chose our ceremony site, which we are so grateful for.
