I was here with friends a couple of weeks ago for their quiz night. It was pretty fun, although we usually go out on a different night so we haven't been able to come back since. Two things: 1. What can I say...Love at first site! Great bar tending, great band (The Unoriginals) and great crowd! Stumbled in on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised to find a new local pub to love, adore and frequent! The amused bartender graciously made our drink of choice; the Bad Decision (tequila and cranberry with a twist of lime). After several Bad Decisions, we decided to start playing tambourine and cowbell with the band! Most places would have probably kicked us at this point, but the crowd and band was obliging! Wandered in here randomly and was pleasantly surprised to find friendly people, great atmosphere, and attentive bar staff. The live music that night was pretty good too; a cover band called the Unoriginals. The only thing that was missing really was percussion. Worry not, my friends show up tambourines in tow. Imagine my delight when the random bar flies in the corner suddenly pulled out a cow bell. Why wouldn't you bring a cow bell out on a Saturday night? I'm sold. Very traditional and local. Food is good esp the shepherds pie. We enjoy it.

Owned by the same people as The Ould Triangle. I like this as much as The Ould Triangle but it seems more people are in this one. It might just be because it is smaller. The one thing I notice the most is that the Guinness tastes tinny it is the damnest thing. I love the fact that you face the bar mirrors in such a way, and that the veneer feels like I'm back in Boston. Only Difference is the fact that Seattlites are so much more quiet. The same people as The Ould Triangle make it so that I just head to whatever one I'm closer to. Don't tell anyone I always make up an excuse to get to this one. read more

This place was awesome the bartender was so friendly and nice. I am from out of town and was just passing through and he made me feel like I was home. This small dive bar had tons of friendly people I will definitely come back when I'm in town. read more

This place is fun (for a bar). It's a homey, neighborhood feel, and small enough that you feel like you're in your friend's house. For musicians, the stage is possibly the smallest in the entire city. I've never seen a smaller stage. It's crazy. They actually have good food (the Sunday Irish brunch is a thing of beauty) and a few times a week they have good music too. A nice ol' Irish pub in a great neighborhood. I think they have a Tuesday trivia night, maybe Wednesday, they are all the same during that part of the week aren't they? This place is a dive bar. I went here with two friends late on a Tuesday, and it was nuts. Most of the people there were already quite drunk, which made for some entertaining people watching. I could tell many of the people were regulars, this was my first time. The drinks were fine and the bartender was really nice. We had a couple drinks each, and were there about an hour and a half till last call. The drinks were not cheap, but the drunken entertainment was fun. read more

When I first moved to Seattle I lived in a house in Ballard just blocks from this little pub, one of the first times I went there were drunk rowdy FRIENDLY people crowd surfing to live Irish music. It's a warm, inviting place that makes you feel right at home. They have karaoke on Thursdays which I used to frequent, and 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards in the back. The bar staff is friendly and loud and Irish! I once had a guy assualt me by grabbing my ass at this place and he ended up getting kicked out by the bartender. It was awesome. No douchebags allowed. Great neighborhood dive where everyone is happy to share a story and a jig. read more

Best damn Irish drinking establishment in town, and when you stumble out at night you can walk about a block east and find a cool little fish pond to goggle at (seriously). The food at Molly's is superb, including the best soda bread that ever was baked in the great Northwest. Their pints are all imperial, so you're setting a several-ounces-per-beer faster pace, unless you take advantage of their most-genius-special-ever special - a premium whiskey (like 12 yr old Jameson) andd any pint for $8 (last I checked). Good pub quiz, good music, and, a real rarity in Seattle, steel-tip darts. Go, drink Jameson and Harp, eat soda bread and stew - wwe are entering the perfect time of year for a warm place like Molly's. read more

This was our first visit and probably our last. One of the customers Derek from Ireland was very loud and offensive. He should have been asked to leave. The food and beer were good. It was hard to enjoy dinner with all all the noise. read more

We took my grandfather here before the week before he left Seattle. It wasn't a bad atmosphere but every time we went up for a drink the bartender was outside smoking. When we left there was a truck that was parked just a little too close for our truck to get out. My boyfriend went inside to ask the bartender if she could ask if the truck belonged to anyone there so we could get it moved like 2ft. It was karaoke night so there was a mic could have used to do so. Instead she said that it wasn't her problem and asked how did he know that the owner was in Molly's? After that she asked if she was supposed to ask everyone individually (instead of using previously mentioned mic). My boyfriend then asked why she couldn't ask the guy running the karaoke she said she wouldn't help. He then went to ask that guy himself. She ran in front of him and put her hands on him to forcibly remove from the bar. When that didn't work because he's 6'2 250lbs and she was only about 5'2...she finally asked the guy running the karaoke. the owner of the truck was right up front and was like yeah sure I'll move! Walking out the guy who was awesome enough to move his truck even said trying to get a drink from her was impossible. Won't ever go back based on terrible terrible customer service. read more

I love going to the Monday open Mikes here, the bartender is so nice and makes excellent drinks, especially Hot Toddies. I always feel comfortable and welcome here since the first time I came in. It's nice to go somewhere with lots of street parking. If you go in for open mike you will actually get your set recorded and e-mailed to you if you like and the sound quality is very good. read more
