We had a large group and my first time eating here. Our server Juniper was very nice & our meals came out and everything looked & tasted very good. I would definitely return.

We thought the place was cute inside and we enjoyed both our service and our food. We tried an app, ramen and 2 rolls of sushi . We will be returning!!

We visited Momotaro Ramen & Sushi at 4pm on a rainy Friday and were quoted an hour wait--which honestly felt like a great sign for a new spot! It's clearly already drawing a crowd. The menu offers a nice variety of ramen, sushi (fairly priced), and specialty dishes. Like many new restaurants, they're still working out the flow of service, and it showed a bit during our visit. We started with appetizers, which were accidentally delivered to the wrong table. Thankfully, we had ordered a "safety" sushi roll because it ended up being the first thing to arrive after quite a wait. Not long after, my ramen came out--and wow... absolutely the standout. Hands down some of the best ramen Pensacola has to offer. That alone will bring me back! We did eventually receive the missing cheese wontons and gyoza after mentioning it to our waitress, but they were underwhelming. The wontons, in particular, had no cheese filling--just a fried shell. My husband ordered a spicy beef dish that didn't quite match the menu photo, and the "fried rice" was disappointing--more like steamed rice with soy sauce, lacking flavor and texture. Overall, the ramen is the clear winner here and worth the visit. Just go in expecting a lively, loud, and crowded atmosphere, and a bit of a wait while they find their rhythm.

    Tonkatsu bento lunch

Tried it for lunch. The bento box was great but the service was even better. Welcoming and informative. Will be going back soon.

    Tonkatsu pork ramen

Service was very fast, restaurant was clean and hostess was nice. I got the tonkatsu pork ramen and it was so good. I meant to take a picture after the first bite but since i liked it so much I forgot until later. Only ramen spot in Pensacola and I'm glad it checked my boxes. Definitely going back!

Wiped off the sauce and here's the raw beef, this is the second serving.

We dined in around 5:30pm and had a pretty concerning experience overall. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, which wasn't a big issue, but service became noticeably disorganized once we were seated. Drinks and appetizers took a long time, and everything came out in a very strange order. For example, egg rolls came out first, then about 15 minutes later gyoza, another 20 minutes later sushi, and then edamame last. It ended up being over an hour just for appetizers to trickle out. When our entrees finally arrived, most of us had ramen and one ordered Japanese curry. The curry had visibly undercooked beef. The texture was soft and mushy, and the meat appeared raw. I pointed it out and they took it back. About 10 minutes later, a replacement dish was brought out, but it looked exactly the same. The beef was still undercooked, and the vegetables like peppers and onions were barely cooked as well. For context, I have experience working in kitchens, and my husband is Japanese and grew up in Okinawa. We make and eat Japanese curry regularly. This was not a difference in style or preference. Undercooked beef, especially sliced, is a serious food safety concern. Since then, my husband, who was the only one who ate some of the curry, has been feeling unwell with ongoing gastrointestinal symptoms. I understand that new restaurants can have a period where they are working out kinks. But this felt like more than that. The kitchen must be in complete chaos, and it shows. At this point, it would honestly benefit the owner to close temporarily and regroup with staff until things are running safely and smoothly. The ramen was actually decent, noodles were amazing (best ramen noodles we've had in this area)-and the sushi is delicious, the service is just horrendous. I don't say that lightly, but serving undercooked meat twice and not correcting it is concerning. I hope this is taken seriously and addressed.

    Peach Boy poke

Opening day and this place was already running like a well-oiled machine. We had about a 30-minute wait during the lunch rush, which felt totally reasonable considering how busy they were. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the saba sashimi, which was rich and buttery, and I ordered the Peach Boy poke bowl with a few pieces of tofu added. The tofu was perfectly crispy, which is rare since so many places serve it soft and slimy. The service was just as impressive. Juniper was warm, friendly, and smiling the whole time. Even with the restaurant packed, she never seemed rushed. This end of town really needed a place like this, and I can already tell it's going to become one of our regular spots.

Only reason I'm giving 4 star is because they forgot to take the wrapper fully off the roll and during my lunch I was surprised that I had some plastic film on my final bite but other wise the roll was solid spicy mayo was fantastic giving grace as they are just starting and mistakes are inevitable

    Sushi bar

Momotaro is still trying to figure out how to be a restaurant. Maybe they will be better in the future? There seem to be plenty of employees but the basics of restaurant service aren't there. We made the mistake of accepting a seat at the sushi bar where it was hard to figure out who our server was, and our end of the bar was an extension of the kitchen where they staged plates and silverware. It made things loud with lots of work clattering. And, even though we were there between dining hours, our ramen was super slow. Will try again if they sort things out in a year or so.

After reading some of these poor reviews posted for 86 Forks, it comes to my attention. Why would anyone finish their meal, pay for it, and then take the time to go online to post a bad review? Why not take the time before hand to ask what a certain dish or meal is - its flavor profile, spice(s), heat, etc.? We did ask the chef and she was more than happy to take the time to explain the dish's concept and let us taste prior to ordering. Read all the good and the bad reviews and ask yourself: 1. If unhappy with the dish, why clear your plate? 2. If not completely satisfied, why pay the bill? Why? Because it's simply not true. People like this are never going to be satisfied or happy. Never. Try 86 Forks for yourselves. Don't be afraid to ask the servers or better yet, ask the chef to explain the concept or allow you to taste something if you're unsure. Be adventurous and make up your own mind - you will not be disappointed. Please remember, this is not a Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Philippine, Italian, Mexican, etc. restaurant. Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. The atmosphere is good, well lit, roomy booths, very clean and we liked the music.

Here is the completed review with your additional details incorporated:…read more I recently visited **Kalbi Ichiban** in Pensacola, Florida, located in the area of town where I grew up. It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.

One section is for the AYCE Hot Pot and the other section is for AYCE Korean BBQ only. So it's not possible to do both at the same time. Side dishes are very minimal and you get it from the bar. There is also a sauce bar as well. We all decided to get Korean BBQ. We also opted for complementary miso soup. The highlights of the night were the following: Beef Brisket, Marinated Short Ribs (must have!!!), and Shrimp. We also had the beef bugoli and spicy calamari but it was just average. The marinated short ribs was the best meat out of all them. The grille itself takes a very long time to cook. The staff here was super friendly but there is just not enough staff here. Our dirty dishes were built up at our table and I had to round them up and take it to the dirty dish bucket. Both staff members just looked at me said to put it there when I asked where do the dirty dishes go. Price is $32.99 for AYCE Korean BBQ for each person. That's amazing is the prices includes a softdrink/ice tea. I have never seen this in GA ever. Price for the AYCE Hot Pot is $28.99. I didn't get a photo the menu as I only had Korean BBQ. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" This is limited to 6 people per event. So book well in advance. This sells out quick. This experience we had 12 courses total. $100 + $20 for tip, that is about $10 per course. You will get your money's worth. It is not recommended for picky people or people who always have special request. The chef will serve you whatever he decides serve. Each OMAKASE experience is never the same; therefore, your experience is special each time. Most of the items served are not available on their regular menu. But let me tell, everything was delicious. The fried salt and pepper flounder does require some careful attention because there were fishbones, but that was part of the experience. It was designed to slow you down, while he prepares the next course. The battered fried rice cake top with assortment of fresh fish, spicy mayo and eel sauce top with sprouts and bonito flakes was delicious! I advised the chef that they should add that to the menu. Chef Lin, also served BBQ short ribs which was his grandmother's recipe was melt in your mouth divine. The Toro nigiri brush with his special soy sauce melted in my mouth. There was no need to add soy sauce or wasabi and you shouldn't. It was delicious. Same applied to the snapper nigiri. The seafood soup with miso was a definition of umami flavor. It had shrimp, lobster, some other seafood, and the broth was flavorful. The shrimp with spicy mayo sauce was savory and creamy. Today was June 15, 2026 and their next seating is next month which is already sold out. I booked this experience in the beginning of May. I would suggest to go ahead and call Jonathan and reserve your seat in August. However, here is a secret, they may make an exception and you can reserve this experience depends on Chef Lin's availability. But for those special reservations, I was told it will cost $150 per person. Still, it is only limited to 6 people (no less no more) per special reservations. I rarely give 5 stars, and this experience deserves it. I predict, by word of mouth, this will be hardest reservations to get in Pensacola since it is limited.
