I brought my 5 year old grandson & nephew to the shaving cream event at Moms Ceramics. They had a blast!! They made dishes with paint & shaving cream. Sorry to say that a fun girls' night turned into an epic disaster. My girls and i decided to attend an event at the store to make a snow man cookie jar. We had a great time! During the painting of the cookie jar, they emphasized the importance of painting your initials on both pieces of your snowman, which we all did. This detail will be important later .. read on. :) At the end of the night we learned that we would not be taking our snow men home that night, as they needed to go into the kiln, and it would be about a week before we could pick them up. Okay, fine. We asked the owner if she'd like to take our phone numbers to call us when they were ready. She laughed and told us that was way too much, she would never remember to do that, so please just watch her Facebook page, she would post when they were complete. I thought that was a bit strange .. can't manage to call ten people to let them know their project is ready for pickup? But okay. Fast forward almost two weeks later and there has been no post on Facebook. My girlfriend calls the owner who tells her, "oh, yes, they're done, come pick up" -- great! How the heck were we supposed to know that?? anyway, my girlfriend goes to pick up .. they're missing the body to by cookie jar and the hat to my girlfriend's cookie jar! It's a big mystery, no one knows where they could be. My girlfriend leaves the store with a couple of half completed snowmen cookie jars and is promised they'll let her know when they figure out what's going on. She waits, hears nothing, reaches out to the owner, texts repeatedly .. no response!! Finally my other girlfriend decides to stop in the store several days later. They find her snow man hat, but they're still unable to locate my snow man's body. After some investigation, they find that someone else "accidentally" took home my snowman body instead of their own. The problem is that for as much as they told us to make sure we painted our initials on the jar, they don't check what people are taking as they came to pick up their jars, so people can just take whatever they want. That being said, they contacted the person who had the wrong body and that person said they would bring it back, and we could pick up the correct body a few days later. In the meantime, i had texted the owner for an update. She told me she would be in the store in an hour and let me know if she found my body. I said great, thanks. She never, ever texted me again after that. I texted her repeatedly asking to please just let me know if the body was located, if it was back in the store, and she couldn't even be decent enough to give me a yes or no response. Absolutely nothing. It wasn't until i was about to dispute the charge on my credit card that my girlfriend reached out to her and she gave a snotty response saying "the body is here just like i said it would be". All in all i find it absolutely disgusting how someone can run a business this way. Disgraceful lack of communication and then to be rude on top of it!! All because of their own lack of attention and mistakes!! NEVER AGAIN!! and it's so disappointing because we actually really enjoyed the activity. read more

I tried a place called moms ceramics because everyone is always talking about doing ceramics & im always seeing really beautiful things posted online done in ceramic shops. OMG, I will never set foot in that place again! There were leftover food containers on the tables from god only knows when, I swear there was a small pee puddle dried up on the floor & the bathroom should be condemned it was so disgusting. I couldn't even bring myself to stay & paint anything. As soon as I got home I googled the shop & found several similar reviews & worse stating how unattentive the owner is about getting things done in a timely fashion. I am glad to say I searched out ceramic shops in my area, & found some other alternatives to try. Wish me luck read more

I stopped in the store to order a piece of ceramic to work on. And for information on children's parties. I promised a call from the owner regarding the piece I asked for. I called and was promised a call back. I never heard from them. I called again and was promised a call back. Hasn't happened. Of course I've gone elsewhere with better results. read more
