Initially the communication was great and I felt like I was in good hands. It is a small law firm, but they are very knowledgeable. After a few months, the communication was abysmal. I would make a call or send an email and would wait actual weeks for a reply. I get it: people are busy and I am far from their only client. I was told initially I would make a down payment and could pay the rest later. Suddenly I was told for them to continue doing work I had to pay them the rest. Okay, no big deal. However the first check was returned to me unopened. Maybe I wrote down the address wrong? I'm not sure. So my ex tried to drop off a check in person and they weren't open. I didn't realize I would have to beg them to take the money. In early December I emailed them, giving them one last chance. I sent another email and finally got a response that they were very sorry, they were in Florida on vacation and would reply when they were back in the office. It's February 4 and still no reply. That's one hell of a vacation! (Mind you, in between that email and January 1 I drove to Florida for a vacation. I was somehow still able to handle my work emails). I tried again. Still nothing, and no returned messages when I called. I genuinely hope everyone there is okay but I feel like something may have happened. They used to be so organized and responsive. As for the half payment? Likely will never see that. Next time you want to waste money, at least have fun with it.

I counter sued and the judge that handled the case found that Madorsky, indeed, double billed me, charge me for time not on the docket and Madorsky owed me the difference. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this attorney. He did nothing to help but only prolonged my case and then sue me for MORE money. He will double bill you for hours.Charge you for time that's NOT on the docket. Don't ever give him cash because he will deny it. Don't give him Money Orders because he'll tell you to prove that he cashed them. He will prolong your case until you run thin on money and then he'll tell you to find another attorney.
