Ingrid did an initial visit wtih me and quickly realized my abs were extremely weak. She put me on a tough ab program and after a month of work, the pain went away! Since then, I've continued the ab routine she gave me (as much as I hated it!) and I've continued to run wtihout the issue for over a year. Ingrid is very enjoyable to work with and knows her stuff, I'd definitely recommend her. There were a couple times that multiple patients were seen at once, but I didn't find it too much of a problem since Ingrid always kept me busy with a tough routine.

Mondays are busy. Fridays are not busy. Pluses 1. I eventually got assigned to a traveling PT and she was great with passive range of motion, exercises, and form. The previous one I got assigned to was constantly late and didn't touch me be sure they had some sort of musculoskeletal health concern. The previous one was treating everyone like they were geriatric and had the same set of exercises for everyone and didn't check my form. I felt like I was getting babysat. Areas to improve 1. Booking online option and cancel online would be great. The PT meets with you and then books. When I had to cancel, I'd have to call and many times I would get a busy signal or not get a cancellation and instead would get all these reminders to come in. 2. Extra bike or shoulder warm up machine would be helpful there was usually a wait. Wear and tear on the equipment, handles on the weight machine needs replacement. Also they only have one set of weights which isn't enough for the entire clinic and you have to either wait for someone to finish or your PT needs to hunt down the weights for you. 3. The complex had a lot of elevator issues and there is no AC inside the elevator. I got stuck one time. They were constantly fixing the elevator. There are stairs you can take up but sometimes that door was locked. 4. Not sure how other PT places are but the PT were always double booked so two appointments for the same time. I'd wind up getting partnered with a patient who needed a lot of extra help and extra instructions. Then my session would be less helpful. It's hit or miss here. If I needed PT again I'd choose a larger location because I bet they have more PT folks there to choose from and maybe it wouldn't take a whole month to get an appointment.

I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients.

It got to the point where my sleep and everyday activities were negatively impacted. I had rotator cuff surgery on my right side about 10 years ago and I was willing to try anything to avoid going through that again! I always check Yelp reviews when I don't know where to start and I found Mac H's review for Sculpt U. His story was basically the same as mine, so I set up an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Ryan online. We spent an hour discussing my concerns and Dr. Ryan explained his protocol - twice a week for 4 weeks to eliminate the pain and begin re-educating my muscles to work properly. I decided it was worth the upfront payment to try and avoid surgery. I immediately saw a difference at Sculpt U. In my previous PT experience, the therapist would manipulate my shoulder/arm for maybe 10 minutes and then I'd get stuck in a corner doing exercises on my own. They also saw multiple clients at the same time, so I never felt like I was getting 1:1 attention. And doing the exercises without supervision meant that I could be doing things wrong. But at Sculpt U, you get undivided attention from Dr. Ryan (or Dr. Clay). I experienced a 90% reduction in pain by the end of my 5th session. During the remaining 3 sessions, we worked on exercises to increase my strength and continue to eliminate that last bit of soreness. Dr. Ryan gave me exercises to do at home and we practiced them during my session so that I am confident that I'm doing them correctly. My experience at Scupt U was top-notch; if you're experiencing any kind of physical pain or issues, I would definitely recommend talking to either Dr. Ryan or Dr. Clay.
