Would you like to go to Paradise for a day? Well it's conveniently located in the Monart Spa Hotel, Wexford. About a 1 hr 40min drive from Dublin. On arrival you know this hotel is pretty classy, you buzz through to be told to drive your car to the old Manor House where the valet will pick it up. (V.fancy) As you walk through the old house you find a modern glass corridor that leads through to the main hotel and spa. The rooms are gigantic: high ceilings, six foot bed, small living room area, balcony and of coarse soft plush robes for you to live in for your entire stay. This robe can be worn everywhere apart from dinner, even at breakfast we changed into regular clothes but were the only non robe wearing guests. (Rookie mistake damn) We had dinner in the main restaurant. It is a set menu at €45 pp and the food was divine! We had breads, starter, amuse Bouche, main, sorbet, dessert and tea and coffee. The spa area is beautiful too and the highlight really, so many different thermal rooms to enjoy. Ok so none of this comes cheap but you are going to Paradise for a night and it is really worth the money. They often have specials on their websites too. You leave completely relaxed but desperate to return. read more

This is a great spot to take your partner or someone you need to spoil rotten. Every single detail has been considered here and the staff is super alert to every need you might have. Once you get in, you do not want to leave. I love how they somehow have managed to remove all telephone signals from the house, except the front house which is the one and only contact point to the outside world (newspapers and wifi). It is a rare thing, but I love the fact that I could throw phone and laptop away for a few days. We did bring books to read for our 3-day stay, but you we barely got a chapter read. There is so much to do. Spa and saunas (like modern roman style with robes instead of togas), restaurants, walks in the gardens or estate, and the tea time. The tea time was amazing. It is not easy to go outside for dinner or food, because you just want to stay in this nice and secluded place. So you end up eating all your meals here. We found that the restaurant (remember to book in advance) was fair priced and could tailor to any dietary need. The room service was amazing and again very fairly priced (it actually came out as the cheapest spend on our trip). I would give an extra bonus star if I could!!! read more
