Saturdays are really busy so was glad I decided last minute to book a table. The menu is filled with sandwiches, bagels, paninis etc and all come with soup for £5.95 which is a bargain when you see the portions. However the most popular order seemed to be the high tea for two, which at £5 per person is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely, with a mix of couple, familes and quite a few grannies being treated to tea and cakes by their grandkids. The decor is nothing fancy, but the setting and welcoming staff easily makes up for it There is fabulous selection of Suki teas and homemade baking. Soups of the day this week were tomato with basil and potato and leek. Last wee I tried the curried butternut squash which was amazing! The setting is lovely and the food is well worth the 15min drive from Dennistoun. There is a garden centre and lovely views onto the loch so you could easily spend a few hours over a coffee, chatting and escaping city life. I can't speak highly enough of this place and look forward to making myself a regular! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tea-House-On-The-Loch/141357772588944?fref=ts

It was...alright I guess,But what did I expect from a big chain resteraunt. I was seated down about 10 mins after I arrived,so I just waited at the bar.It took so long to get a drink that as soon as I recieved my diet coke,it was time to go to our table! I sat down and the first thing I noticed was the NOISE! It was just so noisy! I had to go to the toilets just to get peace from all the screaming and shouting that was going on in the main part of the resteraunt! Some people were just letting their children scream without even agowledging that they were even there! This left me with sore ears because of my ear condition. To be fair their is nothing mutch the staff can do about screaming children. Itr didn't take too long for my meal to arrive. I had the Barbeque Burger which was mediocre, there was nothing special about it. The fries it came with were quite tasty though. The desert took a little longer to arrive but it was worth it! The Apple & Rasberry Crumble was delish! It was so good! It probably had tons of calories in there or something but it just seemed perfect! It was a decent sized portion too! was really quite sweet and had none of those annoying little rasberry seeds that get stuck in your teeth. Great way to finish your meal! After that it took awhile to get the waitors attention for the bill. He said that he would give us it in about 2 minutes,we waited for like 25 mins for him to remember that he was to get us the bill! I saw the price and noticed that it was quite expencive. All in all, I reccomend maybe paying a visit if you can tolerate noise and you like this sort of American/Italian themed dining experience.

However when the food arrived it it was average. A chicken Caesar wrap which was tasty enough but at £6.95 for a wrap my expectations were high. Coffee wasn't great either. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch.

I've been back quite a few times since my first review, but this place is slipping, to put it simply. When I was last here for dinner, it was ok, but not fantastically good as I had previously experienced. However, it was good enough to keep Tinto as a 3-star and not 2, which is what my most recent experience would definitely be rated as. Went for breakfast with some of my extended family (7 of us) on a Sunday morning and it was just so disappointing. While I appreciate we were a relatively large table, the rest of the place was *empty* so I wouldn't have expected this would be too much to cope with. However, when our dishes came out mostly a variety of cold and burnt, it put a right dampener on our gathering. I had been looking forward to ordering churros after my Croque Senor (this came out a bit burnt, and presented itself as merely a grilled sandwich slapped on a plate, not even cut through or anything...) but in all honestly, I was frightened to in case it ruined my previous love of Tinto churros. Our server was great and they did take the two worst plates off our bill which was nice of them, but everything just felt as if not very much care or effort had been put in at all. This place could be an excellent hub of activity on a usual dead Sunday morning in Uddy, it has so much potential but on this occasion, seriously failed to deliver.

OK, so it's a beefeater and serves the standard Beefeater fayre. I don't really have a problem with that as it happens to be the kind of food I like. I had a sirloin cooked exactly how I asked and accompanied by plenty of fries and a very tasty serving of salad, I rounded my meal off with a large ice-cream sundae which wasn't brilliant on quality but there was plenty of it. Because we were staying at the Premier Inn we got the meal deal of two courses and a drink and breakfast which did work out cheaper and to some extent lessened the impact of the 'higher than they should be' prices. The service we received was excellent with the staff being friendly but not intrusive. In line with new legislation the staff team went to great lengths to make sure gluten free items were served without contamination from allergens.

Now that I know it's here I'll definitely visit again if I find myself in the area. I should probably say that we were here for dinner and drinks. We didn't stay in the rooms but, if my experience is anything to go by, I suspect that they're lovely. My partner and I arrived a little early so got some drinks at the bar and then spotted that they have seating outside on a small balcony area. Since it was sunny we decided to sit outside while we waited for everyone else. Its a beautiful spot. If you're local to Uddingston and you're after a nice beer garden to relax in on those rare summer days - this is your place. Soon the others arrived and we moved to a private room that we'd booked for our party of about 30 people. Drinks orders were placed but they already had wine and prosecco on the tables for us. The set menu had apparently changed a little from when the booking had been made, but everything sounded delicious so that wasn't a problem. They ran a separate menu for the younger children too. I chose the tomato and mascarpone linguine, the steak (served pink with chips and peppercorn sauce) and the berry pannacotta. I was very happy with my choices although the soup of the day and the game pie also looked brilliant. Everything I tried was delicious and I was pleased that my steak was as pink as I was promised it would be.
