We gave them all the info, they mismanaged the refund payment (for 100% payment of the year's insurance), and then sent us to collections (I was on autopay and have an 800+ credit score) because they had removed autopay when we left and didn't know how to get the money the over-refunded. Probably won't ever consider Allstate again if this is how they treat customers of 20+ years and hire agents like Mr. Livas.

It should be the agent's duty (and at least an ethical obligation) to attempt to contact the client to determine whether we had let it drop intentionally or if it had been cancelled (though I can't imagine why it would have been), whether we wanted a replacement policy. Because we didn't seem to have gotten a bill or notice of cancellation (isn't that a law?), it was easily missed by us. Either way, the agency let us down. Would have been nice and we would still be using them, but not now. Heck, what do you guys do other than take a cut off our insurance policy when we never even bother you with claims? Would have given one star except we had had no problems before this and I was too annoyed at our predicament to have given them a chance to make things right.
