Mongo What really impressed me was the service. Sofia was really helpful and understanding. They worked as a smooth team incase the one who was helping you was busy and you needed something sorted. I would give 10 if it was possible. Food on the other hand, for a vegetarian- only the Karma bowl for an entree. Its like you choose your grains, ur veges, and sauce and they will put it all together over heat and give you. Mine was ok and I probably could have added a lot of veges as my bowl was only 1/2 full. It is one price for one bowl, irrespective of how much of what you add. Taste wise, it was ok as I had no idea how much of sauce would go into it or the spice level. The second order was vegetable roll. We asked for a little customized version of excluding mushrooms. They brought it with 'kanpyo' instead and forgot the carrots First of all kanpyo looks like mushroom and didn't have the faintest idea that they were very different things , secondly carrots were no where to be seen. When called to enquire, they apologized and took back the order without a minute's hesitation and made a fresh batch made with no mushroom no kanpyo and carrots included. Appreciated that very much. Food wise summery, the bowl or the roll. I definitely preferred the roll and when soaked in sriracha, it exploded in my mouth with flavors. The first one just fell into sriracha by mistake and got drenched, after I tasted that I drowned the next ones in myself...... The place is maintained spotless and the bar was filled to capacity at 5 pm. They do have TV with closed captions . Very limited vegetarian options but you won't go hungry. read more

We were looking for a late evening meal near our hotel after an event, and love Mongolian barbecue, so this sounded great. We loved it! Our server was awesome, drinks were inexpensive, and the instructions for filling the bowls for the grill were very clearly posted and easy to understand. My constructed bowlful had fried rice, shrimp, sausage, dark meat chicken, lots of veggies, and a couple sauces, and was delicious. My husband opted for the house fried rice (no Mongolian grill for him) and was equally happy with his choice. We loved it so much we're hoping to get back there while we're still in town. The food, music and prices are consistently good here. I like the make-your-own-bowl/stir fry concept, plus free ice cream! I have never reviewed this place, but it is an oldie but goodie. I have been here several times and it never disappoints. Happy is , stir fry is fresh, and sushi is delish. I usually sit at the bar and Joe is an awesome bartender. My fave drink is the Lycee Martini. Nothing too great about the decor, but it's clean and plenty of seating. We love mongo! You can't go wrong with the happy hour all day every day! My son and my girl and her little girl hit up Mongos last Saturday! We loved the new kids meal selections. Our kiddos got the kids bowl and we got the adult bowls with a little sushi and drinks on the side. They even have free icecream! A plus with kiddos. Something for the kids and adults. Met up with a couple of friends Thursday night for their all day happy hour and sat at the bar. The service at the bar was great. The bartender was very attentive. I tried the Mongo Tea, which is their version of a Long Island. Truthfully it was a little weird to me as I didn't read the ingredients and thought it was a regular Long Island. They put tea in theirs and I'm just not a fan. It was my fault though for not reading the obvious ingredients on the menu. Moved to rum and Coke after that and it was good. As far as the food... I ordered eggrolls as an app and they were good! Yummy. Ended up going with the chicken hibachi and I was just ok. Not really what I was expecting as I usually get chicken hibachi at Sakura and it's soooo different at mongos. They don't use a lot of seasoning, if any, and their white sauce is like water. My friends had the chicken friend rice and wontons and said they were good. The restaurant was nice and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere was good. I'll definitely be back. I've been coming here on and off for a while and the drinks are always strong. It's a good place to stop in and grab a drink or affordable food before or after you shop. We randomly stopped in to check out this place as we never been. I do have to say , " the food was Good, the service was fast , and the meals were at an affordable price. I ordered a number of different sashimi types via uber eats. I was staying 5 min away from the restaurant but didn't want to leave my hotel after a crazy long travel day. The food arrived and the eel sauce I ordered had spilled all over the bag... I started eating and quickly found that half of the sashimi was inedible due to overpowering fish smell and incredibly tough to bite. The tempura looked fresh, the batter crispy and deeply fried: so good. Likewise, the cheese rangoons were extremely good and flavorful. The one drink I want to mention is mango lemonade, possibly the best I have ever had! We then did the "make your own bowl," which we were also satisfied with; the timing was quick and was equally good. Our experience ended with little to no flaws, besides some issues with the wings. This is my go-to spot for happy-hour drinks and a decent meal. My husband and I go for date night. The food is good and the prices are fair. Nice atmosphere, and friendly staff They often have a sewer smell outside the location but it doesn't affect our meals. It's located in Pearland Town Center so finding a parking spot close is not always easy. There is plenty of parking so that will not be an issue. Looking for a nice happy hour spot. After really missing the Mongolian BBQ in Webster, I searched for somewhere else close and this place popped up so we decided to try it. The inside is very nice and clean. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. We decided to do the create your own instead of one of there preselected recipe's. It was very good, but not as flavorful as I thought it should have been considering I selected about 6 sauces to go in it. I found some Sriracha and it saved the day for me. We've been to Mongo several times and never been disappointed - kinda!! Al thought Mongo has an extensive menu, with something for everyone, the reason we go is for their rice/noodle bowl. We love the concept, and love being able to choose exactly what ingredients we want. Here's how it works: Step one - once you've been seated, and had your drinks order taken, your first step is to put your name on a laminated card and select from a variety of rices and noodles. You then take your card up to the food bars to make your selections and grab a tray! Step two - take a bowl and squeeze as much in it as you can/want from the veggies bar which includes a plethora of veggies, fruit, nuts, herbs, eggs and other stuff! Step three - take another smaller bowl and fill it with your choice of protein - chicken, beef, shrimp, more eggs, beef, salami etc! Step four - make your selection from the spice rack. Step five - take another small bowl and fill it with sauces of your choice. I normally fill mine with a mixture of honey and garlic, sweet and sour, and sweet chili! But there's plenty of other to choose from! You then hand your tray to the chefs and go get seated. A few minutes later they bring you your dinner complete with whatever rice/noodles you selected. At the start of this review I said I'd never been disappointed - kinda!! Well that's because I've occasionally made a few unwise choices, so that's down to me - not the chefs! The more you go, the better choices you make, the less disappointed you're gonna be!! And when you've finished, don't forget to help yourself to their free ice cream - it would be rude not to!! THIS MEAL WAS DELICIOUS. Lots of options on the fixed menu but the make your own option was such a unique and great choice! You select your base ( I got udon) and then you are given a bowl to fill up on what veggies you want and a cup to fill up on what protein you want. Then you get to add sauces/ spices and the chefs will grill it on the hibachi and bring it to your table. The service was also very good because we had to wait on a guest 30 minutes at our table and they did not at all rush us or anything.
