Pretty cool monoprix which has been around for a year (it replaced the hyper casino). It's been freshly renovated, and is beautiful, spacious, and clean.
There is a bakery / food section up front (that you can go to without entering the main grocery store area) where you can buy lunch or a snack, as well as seating for you to eat what you have purchased. That's pretty sweet.
The thing I don't like about this monoprix is the layout. It's like ikea- you are forced to go through ALL sections of the store - forced to pass through the beauty section, clothes, kids, hygiene, school supplies, kitchen, etc - in order to get what you want. It's basically like a maze. If you want to just grab something, you are forced to go through the whole store! And I could imagine it easy to get lost in if you're not familiar, and annoying if you forgot something and can't cut through the store.
There are automatic checkouts here too, which is cool. Usually only 2-3 cashiers open at checkout. read more
