Though the prices were higher than most of the nurseries in the Madison area, this nursery carried a lot of unique trees and shrubs and the quality of their stock was second to none. In addition, the grounds were in immaculate condition with some breathtaking examples of shade gardens that were truly inspirational. Fast forward to the current day and things have slipped badly. The current variety of trees and shrubs is not what it used to be. I can find many of those same items closer to Madison at a lower price and in better condition. The display area is not well-maintained (lots of weeds) and is poorly organized. The bright spot is the staff. They remain friendly and knowledgeable. I used to look forward to my spring visits to Stonewall, but now, I really do not have a need to visit anymore.

They claim they asked our landscaper, who was outside our house at the time, where to dump it and so thats what they did. They never bothered to ring my door bell to ask the owner, the person who hired them where to put it. Also, common sense would tell you, put it on one side of the drive or the other, so you can still access the drive. Now I have my car stuck in my garage and now way to get it out on either side. I will never use these people again.
