Honestly, I have NO idea how their waxing reviews are so great. I'm no stranger to waxing, but have NEVER had an experience like this. The woman waxing me didn't wear gloves and by the time I realized that she had been REUSING THE SAME WAXING STICK THROUGHOUT THE SESSION it was too late for me to do anything. During the wax, the woman kept opening the door and leaving while I was bottomless with my legs spread apart and wax left on my body. And then, even though I specifically kept asking, gesturing, etc. for her to leave a little hair on my labia because I have sensitive skin, she waxed it anyway. To add insult to injury, it has now come to my attention that she actually lifted patches of skin off of my pelvic area, leaving me with painful red blotches and an obvious burn. To her credit, when I expressed how upset I was with the wax, she didn't charge me. Thank goodness, though, because it has cost me that much at the pharmacy to pick up anti-bacterial sprays and creams just to try soothing the damage that had been done. Needless to say, I'm still livid. The kicker? When I asked to see the manager, it turned out that she was the manager. Thank you for not charging me, but this should never have been an issue.

I'll only go to Samira, because the one time I went to someone else, they did an awful job. Even when it's good enough, it's not that consistent. I've only been truly happy with the results once. Every other time was asymmetrical, and when I asked them to fix it, they only made it worse. I saw their waxing equipment, and it didn't look professional or sterile (and it was possibly food service equipment they are using for waxing), so I would definitely stay away from that. The salon has been hot, crowded, and unpleasant every time I've been there. So why four stars? This is the only Indian eyebrow place I've been able to find, and they do a good enough job that I won't stop going there. It's cheap. It's conveniently located near the metro. Their hours are great. They're open until 8 p.m., including on Saturdays and Sundays.

I was not informed that prices had changed when the receptionist handed me the leaflet, and I was not informed about different prices for Wax-Zone members and non-members before paying (which seem to exist in theory). PLUS, I was not happy with the waxing itself. It was done rather carelessly and hurried and the beautician tried to be friendly with me but seemed not to like her job that much... If you have no other choice and need a waxing/other treatment urgently, make sure to know about the price & service in advance. I signed up thinking that I would go to the salon a few times a month for manicures, pedicures, waxing, etc. However, I quickly realized that every time I go there the wait for service is 30 minutes or longer. It doesn't matter what time of the day or week that it is. I don't know how people have the time to wait so long for beauty appointments! I could see 10-15 minutes being ok - but 30 minutes to 60 minutes is unacceptable. Clearly, the salon does not have enough staff - so customers are expected to pay for this by spending their time waiting. As for the quality of their services. I had a bikini wax and an eyebrow wax one time (by a woman with blonde hair) that was excellent. Another time I had the "Relax Dos" massage which was not good...the person doing it obviously had no training; it was like a friend putting suntan lotion on your back. The third time I came was for a bikini wax (by a woman with black hair) that was very bad - she was rushing and doing everything in a rough manner...and my skin paid for it. Sadly, I was stupid enough to sign up for their membership...don't be as stupid as I was! In the future, I'm going to go to salons that have appointments, since this "Sans Rendezvous" business model does not seem to work well.
