Dear Team, Would…read morelike to make an official complaint as I'm hoping your team will learn from it in the future. Went today 27 Dec '24 in Reigate store as I want it to return a bracelet my partner bought for me for Christmas as a present . Your colleague Sam approached the situation with such an unresfectful way, I've asked for the money back of the bracelet as the bracelet was small but also not for me, I didn't want any other products in exchange neither online or in store...he said he cannot to that due to different policies you have online and in-store... By the time I was keep trying to ask for further details in regards who should I escalate this further, he said will call the security on me, trying to intimidate me and causing me lots of stress and anxiety onto the point I start having a panik attach ( you can see onto your video cams from your store). I spend almost 2 hrs of crying and stressing myself so much and have the terrible panic attach only for another customer who came in store to try and calm me down... I will appreciate a reply back and where can I escalate this matter further ( I'm expecting Alan Higgs to get in contact with me on 07828859895). I will also contact the customer service commissioning team for Bad Business Practices in UK to explain the situation and how I been treated awfully by your colleague Sam and explain of how much this situation impacted me and cause me a lot of stress and ending up with the pannik attack while your colleague from the store didn't even be bother to help me at the time. AWFUL SERVICE STAY AWAY SCAM PEOPLES WHO JUST WANT YOUR MONEY STORE POLICY, ONLY EXCHANGES SO YOU WILL END UP WITH UNWANTED ITMES IN CASE YOU RECEIVE A PRESENT AS THEY DON'T GIVE MONEY BACK.... SAM IS MOST UNRELEASED AND UNHELPFUL WITH CUSTOMERS.

You are always great by a friendly smile and they are extremely knowledgeable. My last visit was to get a new battery in my watch. I was advised that it would probably take 2 weeks as it had to be pressure tested in another branch. I was delighted to get a call after eight days to say it was back and ready to collect. Great service as always. Thank You.

I have never actually bought anything from this store but I have had a few bits of jewellery…read moreresized from here. This is a lovely independant jewellers and it is nice to look around something a bit different to the large chains. There are lots on display in the window and the shop is relatively small but there is room inside, and there is lots of lovely jewellery and clocks. The staff have always seemed very friendly and happy to help and I would definately recommend anyone looking for something a bit different to take a look.

The Village Jeweller Review. Vintage Mechanical Omega Watch…read moreService. Avoid this business. In my experience they are unprofessional, incompetent and rude to their customers. My vintage Omega watch was left at the Village Jewellers for a service in September 2025. The fascia cover of the watch was scratched and it was losing about 1 minute a day. Originally the indication was the price would be no more than £300. The quotation in fact was £350 and I agreed to the service by phone call with the owner Alan Giddings, stating that the watch has great sentimental value. After numerous phone calls to the shop about progress, my watch was collected on 10/01/26 (NB: paid in full). On close inspection, I noted the scratch on the watch fascia had not been repaired. It was returned within 2 hours. Immediately after collection by my sister on 24/01/26 I wound up the watch, which was not working and noted that the seconds hand was not moving. I rocked the watch gently from side to side and it started. I monitored the watch on my bedside table for 6 days; it was losing 5 to 5.5 minutes a day. The watch was again returned to the shop under the 6-month guarantee and Alan Giddings agreed the watch wasn't working correctly saying a spring might need lubricating, but a week or so later he accused me of damaging the watch by knocking it. I assured Alan that if the watch had been damaged it had not been done by me and more likely by the Village Jewellers (as they had it for 4 months and it had been sent away). Alan agreed as a 'gesture of good will' to repair the watch. On 16/05/26 my sister went to collect my watch. The female shop assistant looked in two drawers and a box and, in the process, she dropped someone else's service item on the floor, but she could not find my watch. She fetched Alan Giddings but then found my watch, saying it had been wrongly filed. She gave my sister the watch. Alan Giddings then loudly stated from the far side of the shop that she should tell me to be careful not to knock the watch in future. My sister expressed disappointment that I had been accused of damaging the watch. Alan Giddings responded that he knew for a fact that I was in a wheelchair (correct I have MS). The shop assistant then joined in and said to my sister that I must have knocked my watch when using my wheelchair. My sister denied this. Alan Giddings then moved across the shop towards her, leaned across the counter, and told her to listen to him and to look him in the eyes when he spoke to her. She had no wish to listen to him and left the shop. I will never use this jeweller again.
