Growing up around here and coming to the drive in since high school was always a treat and great experience. Tonight, It was just ok. Came to see "Beast" which seems to be a pretty good movie thus far... Upon arrival I went to the concession stand to order concessions only to be told it would be a 20-25 minute wait for the funnel cake. I went ahead with the order and was told I would be called when it was ready...I waited over 30 minutes for the call, which is fine since it's fresh. Only to get to the counter and find my funnel cake sitting there rather brown and hard as if it had been cooked way too long. Nothing cake or soft about it. Every bite was nothing but a sweet greasy crunch. Due to already missing some of the movie to retrieve it I decided to just throw it away and not go and request a remake. Definitely was a wasted $6. The young lady at the ticket booth was rather sweet and showed great customer service. If you come to the drivein I hope when you order a funnel cake it's nothing like this. Hopefully, you'll at least be able to enjoy it! read more

Friendly staff but they closed the kitchen before the first movie was over. If your going to do that don't fuss if people bring their own.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Came across this drive in last minute after going to dinner in Tullahoma. I will now factor movie night in every time we visit the TN. $8/per person and they offer 6 movies every night. 2 on each screen and they have 3 screens! They really laid this out nicely. As you drive in you'll select which lane you want to follow based on what movie you want to see. All 3 lanes are well lit but dim enough that it doesn't affect the movie watchers. We didn't try the concession stand but it looked beautiful with tons of options. Each side of the concession projected the movie onto its designated screen and offered surround sound which surprisingly didn't interfere with the other movies running. They'll also give you the radio station to listen inside your car. I can't rave about how well put together this drive in is. Can't wait to return again. read more

We loved it!!! So much fun and the food was pretty good. My husband got a 1 pond burger that was huge and delicious. Handmade Patty and good bread! They have half price refills on popcorn and drinks. Clean restrooms no baby changing stations but I can change the baby in the car. read more

This is so ridiculous! I wouldn't post this but then I discovered that some of this family work here and were directly involved in the horrible operations of this place. I brought my granddaughters to see Kungfu Panda 4. The sound was not available and the staff were made aware shortly after the previews and adds started. After the movie had started I went to tell them that the sound was still not working and was told that "she" had just gone to fix it! Wth was she doing for the previous 15 minutes? We have paid to see and hear a movie! Maybe it's just me but seems to me resolving technical issues should be the priority. Finally, the really ridiculous part. I had to move when I got back to the car because a very inconsiderate customer would not turn off his parking lights which were extremely bright. I just moved up until we couldn't see his lights. Apparently the other people parked in the rows behind him were as irritated as I was and started yelling at him to shut them off. He responded that they can't be turned off while the car is running. Ok I get that but when you discover this or, worse yet, if you already knew this why not just park in the back!? His answer was, "I was here first!" LMBO! What is he 5 years old!? Good word! Well, turns out he is related or somehow connected to three females that work for the drive in! He complained forever about everyone complaining about his lights and how everyone was rude. Then these females show up and they all start complaining again. I told him he was the rude one because he could have been considerate to others and moved or even turned his car around. THAT is rude! The silver lining is that my granddaughters have quite a story to tell about their first experience at a drive in theater! read more

We saw The Avengers movie 5/11/2012 here on recommendation from friends. There are three screens and unfortunately The Avengers was playing on the closest screen to the highway and train tracks. We stopped counting after 4 trains came through with horns blaring. There is no fencing to block headlights for cars entering the drive in from the highway. The concessions were the one bright spot for his drive in. We love the drive in experience and go to as many as we can. This one needs some work. Fencing alone to block headlights would have earned an extra star or two. Don't know how they will fix the trains though. read more

They close their concession stand for food at 10:00 even though the movie lasts until midnight. They want 15$ to bring outside food in but then don't serve food but for 1/2 the time you are there. I think I will pay the 15$ the next time and take a warm insulated box of not dogs and start selling them after 10:00. Bet i could make some money!!! read more

We are at the live Metallica Broadcast, and the volume is extremely low, inside sources infer its on purpose... Not a great way to inspire future events. Very disappointed with this venue, don't recommend giving Montana Drive in at Estill Springs Tn access to these future events. Many pissed fans right now! read more

My husband and I went for the first time last night. Drove all the way from Nashville to be treated rudely by the concessions team. We also had trouble watching the movies because the car behind us kept turning on their headlights. There was no one outside to monitor such things, and one quick glance around showed several other vehicles turning their lights on and off as well. My husband said he went in and asked someone to do something about it and was told there was nothing that could be done. In a cinema, ushers keep patrons from using their phones because the lights are distracting and cause glares. You own a drive-in, and can't do anything about giant glaring head-lights? I used to love Montana Drive-In. I hadn't been in years, and I brought a group of new friends. I talked it up and talked it up to them, and after going, I was so embarresed. My brother-in-law found a cluster of hairs in the fries that came with his chicken boat. We understand that it happens sometimes, but he had lost his appetite for fries and just wanted to exchange them for nachos. First, the cashier said he didn't even see the hairs. Then, after taking it to the back, he said the cook saw it and would make us a fresh basket. After explaining that the hairs had caused him to lose his appetite for the chicken basket, we were told that we would be charged for any exchange. We found hairs, plural, in our food and were told we would be charged to switch them out! They also wouldn't give us an itemized reciept. I noticed they had root beer and ice cream, and asked a different employee if they could make a root beer float. I was told no, because he didn't know how...fortunately for me, a female employee over - heard the exchange and made it for me. Had she not been there, he wouldn't have even bothered asking any other employees if it was something they did for peoole. The value of watching 2 current movies for 7$ is unbeatable. However, I would be careful because rude employees and poor customer service is enough to outweigh the value. read more

First time experience with my family here. It was a beautiful day to see a movie outdoors, we were really excited to see the movie Godzilla vs King Kong. The reason i only gave 2 stars was due to the fact that they not only are the ticket prices $8 for adults and $6 for kids and $15 for a food fee to bring outside food. We decided to just purchase from their menu instead. As we arrived there were a total of 3 cars for all screens, we went to the snack bar and had planned to get our kids and family some items. Was extremely disappointed the fact that each item we were ordering they stated they were completely out!! Yet again there was only a total of 3 cars at that time so how are they already out of quite a bit of food items. At this point there shouldn't be a charge for us to bring in outside food especially not knowing that they don't have quite a selection of their menu available and not knowing upon arrival which makes the experience unsatisfying unfortunately. read more

I absolutely love this place! We drive over an hour to come here and loved it so much that we brought our child the next weekend! The first time we watched a movie on screen 3 that was next to the highway facing the woods. Though we did hear the trains, we turned our radio up and enjoyed watching the movie in the luxury of our car. It is very cheap! $8 per adult for 2 movies? You can't get any better than that! The second time we came we brought friends and our son. We were at screen 1 which is in the back. It was super fun! There was a bit of static on the station for the movie but it was manageable. I love how they gave a list of foods and their prices on the sheet when you pull in so when you go to the main building in the middle, you know what they have an how much you are planning on spending. The bathrooms were clean and nice. There was a vehicle that had their lights on, I walked into the building and let the people know. They were extremely prompt and had the problem resolved by the time I walked back to my vehicle. It was a extremely fun experience and I look forward to going again! :) read more

This is an incredible and special place. Drive ins are rare and this one is a real treat. I read the other reviews about the quality of food and such which made me have to offer up a review. No, this isn't a 4 star restaurant... its a drive in movie! Eat before you come if you are concerned with a top quality meal. I've never noticed anything gross at all in anything from the stand here. The food is always good just like any other concession stand. There is a huge variety and its a fun menu. Regarding the movie watching experience, for the price (only $7 for TWO new movies) and the opportunity to sit outside and watch a movie, this place is pure gold. I also read issues regarding the train. Yes, this can be a little annoying a couple times during the movie on one of the screens nearest the track, but good luck finding an outdoor area that is silent that isn't 500 miles out in the country. This space is spread out, super convenient, and feels perfectly nostalgic with a modern twist. They don't monitor and watch all movie goers at all times (such as telling them to turn off their lights) but I appreciate being left alone actually. It is a laid back environment with open areas for children to play and lawn chairs to sit. Such a treasure to have in our community and worth the drive for anyone looking to enjoy an outdoor movie or 2! read more
