It was also very hard when I first started my search for a licensed mental health professional to figure out who I could possibly trust and feel comfortable with in sharing knowledge of my family's most private struggles. But after reviewing one website after another of possible candidates I could meet with in our local area, I decided to go with my gut feeling and made an appointment to see Dr. Babette Rosabal. It must have been fate because quite instantly, and unexpectedly, I started to open up to her and shared with her more about myself and my family than I ever thought I would feel comfortable in doing during a first meeting. This is a testament to the very professional and yet equally approachable way about her. Since then, I have had 7-8 sessions with her and I feel immensely fortunate to have her as my therapist. From the way she speaks to you, looks and smiles at you, warmly invites you to share whatever troubles you, listens and responds to you without judgement but instead offers you advice by way of providing another perspective/lens by which to view the situation you are in, you will no doubt find her to be fully engaged and wholeheartedly committed to helping you work things out. She is always calm, focused and yet very relaxed, intently listening versus writing notes throughout, and you can sense that she is a natural in helping people through their emotional conflicts. Just having the opportunity to be able to open up and share my concerns and troubles with her has been so relieving to me. The great trust I have in her is evident by the fact that I have also had each of my kids privately meet with her as well. I don't think I could more strongly state what a benefit she has been to my family. Dr. Rosabal is definitely someone who elevates her profession and I am writing this review to help others know that she is someone worth meeting. I have be seeing Dr. Quintas since the unexpected death of my father this past January. I believe that everyone has the perfect match for therapy. Therapy doesn't mean you're crazy in any manner. It's actually the opposite. A patient has to be as honest as possible in-order to get the best help and results. I have stopped needing Dr. Quintas months ago because she did such a good job of sorting out my feelings but I found that by continuing to see her has helped me in so many other areas of my life that I continue to see her. It's like working out your body but for your mind. Dr. Quintas was my perfect match. She will tell you like it is and is open and honest. Sometimes that can be uncomfortable but it's also painful to add a few pounds to your weights when working out or running a bit further then usual. Dr. Quintas is that great workout trainer but for your brain and soul. I am so lucky to have found her and I feel pretty good about myself these days. Dr. Quintas is patient, has a great memory and can easily peel you apart to get at the root causes of whatever issue you might have. You just have to be honest. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Quintas. Onto other reviews. I always read reviews and then sometimes read the reviewer's reviews just to get a feel of why they would rate someone or someplace 1 or 5 stars. I suggest you do the same when reviewing anyone or place you are going to see, especially if it is something that can change your life like a Doctor. If you have a bad experience in a restaurant, that's one thing but at any Doctor's office, that's another. Once you start reviewing reviewers, you will start to learn more then you can imagine. You will see patterns emerge. When someone can only mostly rate something or someone 1 or 5 stars, there is no middle ground. Those reviews can't be trusted as the review is not about the person or place that is being reviewed, it's about them. Those negative reviews need to be read and I take the few extra moments to look up the reviewer to make up my own mind whether its valid or not. My 5 stars is for Dr. Quintas, not for me. If Dr. Quintas, a kind gentle soul is calling the police, uh......then she had a valid reason to do so. I don't know of the circumstances in any manner but calling Doctor Quintas "An old hag" is not a review of Doctor Quintas, it's an insite into the mind of the reviewer. I just know Dr. Quintas as I have been seeing her for over 6 months and she does not deserve to be called that and Yelp should be ashamed of allowing such a review. As far as the "Not rather to give the details" review without explanation doesn't constitute a review. What good does that review do anyone? My point, don't just judge a person or place by the stars given. Read some of the reviews and then pick a few reviewers and see if they have a pattern. This is most important when you only see a few ratings. Most people don't want to review Doctors or Therapist out of some fear that the whole world will know but no one is knocking on my door. Therapist can only help people who are determined to get better. A GOOD therapist won't tell you what you want to hear, they will tell you what you don't want to hear and you have to either believe and trust them or go find a bad therapist that will justify your actions no matter what. You cannot expect them to just fix you. You have to participate. I am off my soapbox! Speak to Dr. Quintas about your particular issue and see if she can help you. she did me and so much more!
