Our favourites are the small strawberry tarts, the nut cakes and the brewed pears tart (raisinée in French). The slices of bread with a topping, for instance salmon or cheese (tête de moine in French), are yum too. There is another shop from Laurent Buet in the area which has a tearoom as well. Service is always very friendly and the prices are averaged.

Located a few feet from the train station in Lausanne, Le Romantica is a clean old school pastry shop loaded with goodies. Sitting outside and people watching is great. I have seen a couple of these in Lausanne where we visited last year and again last week. we…read morechoose this place as we were hungry and we wanted to experience it. this place has seating indoors and out, and is situated near the metro entrance (croisettes). very friendly staff and spoke several languages, so that helps a bunch. we sat outside (beware as smoking in Europe is still quite commonplace), and our drinks and bread arrived promptly. we then enjoyed our entrée (pesto cavatappi) very delish. will be making this our regular stop when we come back.
