Bathrooms do not have hair dryers available BUT the front desk has them and all you have to do is ask. FREE WiFi is available to guests. There is also a lounge area on each floor, a lounge area in the restaurant and they have a play area on the bottom floor which includes a ping pong table. Great location! While the hotel ended up being a mix of good and not so good attributes, it began poorly. Check-in is supposed to begin at 2pm. However, our room we were told was not ready. On vacation, we were not in a rush, so we headed to the bar for lunch and Okicim. Nevertheless, when we check again after our meal, there was still no room ready. This was starting to get a little annoying. Finally at around 4pm, I found the most senior agent at the front desk and told him straight up that two hours of waiting was more than enough. Either they find a room immediately and compensate us for our time - magically a room suddenly opened up! The room was clean and had a nice view (though I imagine there isn't such thing as a bad one. It would have been nice to have more bottle water. They only provided two tiny bottles. On the plus side, we did enjoy our tea, Dilmah. The restaurant was our favorite place at the hotel. We went there for most breakfasts and dinners as they had delicious local cuisine. My favorite dish was the Mountain Trout, served with stewed vegetables with prunes and potatoes covered in a local cheese. Oh, plus you could secure some free wifi around the restaurant; everywhere else it cost money. Our least favorite aspect of the hotel was the pool. After a day of skiing next door, I was really looking forward to a dip in a hot tub or at least a warm pool. There is no hot tub and the pool was quite chilly. As a result, we did not spend very long there! Finally, make sure to take advantage of the hotel shuttle. Its limited schedule is on a little sign out front. It goes downtown, the bus depot, and the cable cars.

It is located on Krupowki Street which is a busy promenade loaded with shops, restaurants and of course people. The crowd size depends on the season. About the hotel. We're always looking to find a different place to stay because of our adventurous soul, but still we end up in the same place. Villa Vita is just perfect for us. The combination of location, price and what they offer is just right. Our rooms are always extremely clean and pretty. I love the reception desk area right now. They keep improving not only rooms but they also gave a beautiful makeover to the entrance and a foyer. It's so cozy and inviting. Even the stairs in some parts are covered with a sweater-like carpet. Of course there are pros and cons. First of all, to get to any of the rooms, guests have to climb a lot of stairs, which is not a problem in our case, but for a person with a disability it would be a serious issue. Even carrying up a heavier suitcase could be a pain for anyone. There is no elevator. Second, breakfast is included with the price. It's a buffet and we like it a lot, but officially it is served only until 10:00... I have to ask why? We're here for leisure, and setting alarm to get up and ready for breakfast would be kind of ridiculous. I think 11:00 would be just right considering people are out on the town until late, it's Zakopane, right? Communication is rather poor. The best way to make a reservation is through Expedia, Booking etc. Even the economy type rooms are really nice. They're not too big but compact and very cozy. The TV didn't work well, but we actually didn't have time to watch it. The updated bathroom was so nice, with cool mountain landscape accent on the shower wall. The view of Giewiont and Tatra Mountains is wonderful. I whish the windows were cleaner, but I understand the air is rather polluted in Zakopane, especially in the center of town, and it must get dirty pretty fast. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is crispy clean and smells good/fresh. I already mentioned that, this hotel is located in a busy area of Zakopane. To have a more realelaxing athmostmosphere or a better starting point to hiking trails, it would be better to choose a different accommodation. Walking distance from the bus and train station to Villa Vita is only around 20 minutes. There are taxis available too, but we never use them. Parking at the hotel costs extra, not sure how much and what kind of rules apply. We always use public transportation to get there. The reception desk person is always very polite and welcoming. She greets everyone with a warm smile and is open for any help if it's necessary. I recommend avoiding visiting Zakopane during any holidays or summer time when people usually take their time off. We are well fed at one of their 2 restaurants. One is modern and bright and the other is regionally traditional. I prefer the regional restaurant as it has a better atmosphere I think. The smoked sheep's cheese is a regional speciality that I do not enjoy it at all. The hotel room is basic but comfortable. The only negative would be the pillows which are lumpy and uncooperative. The wifi is overwhelmed I think with all the conference goers and does not work most of the time.

The complex itself consists of two buildings. Although an apartment style, there is a reception with staff on hand and the rooms were cleaned during our stay. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, willing to give us directions, book taxis, let us borrow an electrical adapter for the duration of our stay and sending up an extra pillow for my boyfriend's 87 year old grandad's bad shoulder. The villa also has wifi so you don't need to worry about going out of your way to find Internet cafes and such to yelp whilst you're here! The villa is secure and we had no concerns about safety during our stay. The entrance for cars closes at night, you can look the door to the whole block and the apartment doors double lock. It was perfect for our stay and I imagine it would be ideal for families. With balcony rooms and impressive views of the surrounding Zakopane mountains at an incredible price, you're truly spolied!
