Maybe because we have such a swarm supermarkets that in our area Bi-Lo is just a step above Food Lion, or as I call it "hood Lion" Prices are high even with sales I go here for when I don't want to drive 2 miles to Kroger or Wal- Mart. They now have self checkout which is so convenient to me since you don't have to wait in line you can ring up and bag your own things. They didn't mention or give warning to the fact that they would be handing over the business to other owners. These owners seem ok. They don't thank you for shopping with them or give you direct eye contact. You also have to purchase $5 worth of things to use your debit or credit card. I wasn't aware of this until I went to the register to buy an orange juice and another drink. I had to scatter to find other things to buy. I did notice they had my favorite brand of cracklins, which I did buy. The candy aisle was fully stocked but not with my favorites. Maybe they will switch it up later on down the line. I still will come here time to time to buy drinks and snacks.
